Fmr Pres Trump backed out of an interview because the questions that would be asked would be too hard for him to answer?

James Gang - Midnight Man (1971) www.youtube.com
James Gang is basically joe walsh before he became Joe Walsh, and is how I discovered I enjoyed Joe Walsh tunes.
But my attention to this song is not Joe Walsh or the lyrics (they're OK), but the amazing guest solo in, I think, the third verse by Mary Sterpka.
Ms Sterpka hits the vocals out of the park on this one. The way she blends in with the tune, but steps out there. A fine line she plays so well.
One of my all-time fav guest vocalists.

@#8 ... For once the lie fest didn't work. ...
Based upon the current polling trends, I'd be reluctant to say, "for once."
There seems to be a general question facing fmr Pres Trump --- ~what else yer got beside lies?~

Back in ancient times when I was 18 years old, this was a favorite song of mine...
Hollies: He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother (1969) www.youtube.com
Lyrics excerpt...
genius.com
... The road is long With many a winding turn That leads us to who knows where? Who knows where? But I'm strong Strong enough to carry him He ain't heavy, he's my brother So on we go His welfare is my concern No burden is he to bear We'll get there For I know He would not encumber me He ain't heavy, he's my brother If I'm laden at all I'm laden with sadness That everyone's heart Isn't filled with the gladness Of love for one another It's a long, long road From which there is no return While we're on the way to there Why not share? And the load Doesn't weigh me down at all He ain't heavy, he's my brother ...
But I'm strong Strong enough to carry him He ain't heavy, he's my brother
So on we go His welfare is my concern No burden is he to bear We'll get there
For I know He would not encumber me He ain't heavy, he's my brother
If I'm laden at all I'm laden with sadness That everyone's heart Isn't filled with the gladness Of love for one another
It's a long, long road From which there is no return While we're on the way to there Why not share?
And the load Doesn't weigh me down at all He ain't heavy, he's my brother ...
Yeah, that song made an impression upon me back in the day.

Frankly, in my nearly 20 years of posting, it's the easiest gopher ball I've ever seen.
Getting to the salient point, in a world of political double-speak, is my superpower.
IIRC, JeffJ accused me of it. Angrily.

Never thought I'd actually see a simpering wimp nominated for the presidency. More brains and guts are needed for that job than Trump can ever summon forth in his burger-fueled fantasies. You want alpha? Vote for Harris.

So ironic that he named his failing social media app Truth Social. Trump is incapable of speaking truth on any topic.
