(AP) " Approval of the way President Donald Trump is managing the government has dropped sharply since early in his second term, according to a new AP-NORC poll, with much of the rising discontent coming from fellow Republicans.

"It shows that only 33% of U.S. adults approve of the way the Republican president is managing the government, down from 43% in an AP-NORC poll from March.
That was driven in large part by a decline in approval among Republicans and independents. According to the survey, only about two-thirds of Republicans, 68%, said they approve of Trump's government management, down from 81% in March. Independents' approval dropped from 38% to 25%."'

And this was before today when we found out Epstein confirmed that, "he knew about the girls".

MAGA commentators express open amazement that Trump is "spiraling down" and it's not even a year into his term.
I really wonder what the hell they were expecting?

I think that the floor of Trump's approval is really about 20%, the percentage of voters who think that Epstein is no big deal.

He only needs 33% of the country in order to control the Electoral College.

One of the Republicans who disapproved of Trump was 78 year-old retired educator Beverly Lucas, who lives in Trump's adopted home state of Florida. "I'm thoroughly disturbed by the government shutdown for 40-something days," Lucas told pollsters, adding that Trump's second term was akin to "having a petulant child in the White House, with unmitigated power." "When people are hungry, he had a party," Lucas continued, referring to Trump's Great Fatsby-themed Halloween soire at Mar-a-Lago. "I thought he seems callous."
