Mr Limbuagh and fmr Pres Trump cheapened the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

That is what I remember of Mr Limbaugh.

Should be a national day of celebration of his death, and what a wonderful day it was.

#3 | Posted by a_monson at 2024-02-17 07:05 PM | Reply

It's not good to celebrate anyone's death, even if they were a worthless shred of human debris.

Note that is an epithet that Limbaugh often hurled at others who had died.

@#4 ... It's not good to celebrate anyone's death ...

I agree.

One should not celebrate the death, but acknowledge what the life offered.

It's not good to celebrate anyone's death,

I'm curious. Why not? Rush Limbaugh, who was a drug addict btw, is responsible for much of the problem with the American people. He did it for cynical reasons. He is one of those people who had few if any positive qualities.

I celebrate hitler obl death. Why not his?

#6 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-02-17 08:31 PM | Reply

@#6 ... Why not? ...

I'd rather people not be martyrized because they have died.

In this particular instance, I would have preferred that Mr Limbaugh justify why his receipt of the Presidential Medal of Freedom did not trivialize that Medal.

Unless, and until, I would have heard him saying, "I did not deserve that" and mean it, he and fmr Pres Trump have trashed an honored acknowledgement of the Country.

Just wait till he gets to hell and Satan puts him in the room with a bunch of hostile feminists.

Back in 1990 when I was crisscrossing the country as an OTR Trucker I couldn't get enough of Limbaugh's show. He'd rail against Political Correctness and I was his Amen corner. As the years went by though , I found myself disagreeing with him. This became greater and greater and by the year 2000 I stopped listening to him. His black and white view of Conservatives=good , Liberals=bad was just ridiculous. Not only was he a Political hack for the Republicans, but a hypocrite. He always claimed conservative virtues , however, he was married 4 times, a drug addict, never had any children and a draft dodger.

In a nutshell the man was really....just a Bum.

"Punish 2 birds with one stone."

Birds is an offensive term now.

And that's not even getting into the "birds aren't real" conspiracy.

#11 | Posted by sentinel at 2024-02-18 10:34 AM | Reply

Well said, Shane.

I stopped listening because he became a bigger and bigger hack.

Of course, Truthhurts appears to equate him with Hitler but nobody is surprised by that.

I never listened to him because I was always smart enough to recognize a grifter at first sight or hearing in this case

But I'm smarter than jeff

Which makes us a better person celebrating the death of or defending an -------?

I am not defending Trump or Limbaugh you absolute -----.

For the nth time, stop being a cheap SOB. Open your wallet and pay a hooker for services. I'm sure you can afford it and you desperately need it.

#21 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-02-18 12:15 PM | Reply

Here's a clue

Only someone defending ------- (the fraud and sexual predator) would claim that the civil fraud verdict was "grossly unjust"

You stupid stupid "man"

#22 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-02-18 12:16 PM | Reply

No I'm not you vile POS. It's not my fault that you were the kid who got bullied by the nerds when you were a kid. I'm sure it was traumatic but it was a long time ago. Stop being a ----- and get over it.

#23 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-02-18 12:17 PM | Reply

And this is why you are so stupid:

" Only someone defending ------- (the fraud and sexual predator) would claim that the civil fraud verdict was "grossly unjust"

Show me where I said the verdict is unjust. You can't because I didn't.

What I said was the dollar amount of the penalty is unjust. I'd view it that way had Obama done the exact same thing.

#24 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-02-18 12:19 PM | Reply

You would have us believe that stating that the verdict against ------- (the sexual predator and fraud) is "grossly unjust" is not defending him?

What part is not a defense?

"grossly"
grossly
in a very obvious and unacceptable manner; flagrantly.
extremely; excessively.

"unjust"
adjective. not just; lacking in justice or fairness: unjust criticism; an unjust ruler. Archaic. unfaithful or dishonest.

" You would have us believe that stating that the verdict against ------- (the sexual predator and fraud) is "grossly unjust" is not defending him?"

Yes. If you are capable of non binary thinking.

#26 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-02-18 12:22 PM | Reply

You know what, fair enough, you weren't defending ------- by calling the verdict "grossly unjust" you were defending ------- by calling the penalty "grossly unjust"

#27 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-02-18 12:24 PM | Reply

LOL

Sure jeff, you're not defending him.

Because the penalty someone who is so obviously grossly fraudulent is high is somehow grossly unjust.

If ------- wasn't so grossly fraudulent, his penalty wouldn't be so high, sorry but those are the facts.

You have to be a MAGAt defender to not see that

Is it unfathomable to you that both Trump and this judge are wrong?

If Danforth were to be pulled over for driving 15 over, he clearly violated the speed limit and should suffer consequences. If those consequences were a $50,000 fine would that be just?

#29 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-02-18 12:28 PM | Reply

Lemme guess, you think the judge was lenient and the fine should be $10 billion.

Seriously dude. You need to get a rabies shot.

#30 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-02-18 12:30 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

If Danforth went into court and lied to the judged and showed no contrition, the judge might take that into account when determining the penalty.

#31 | Posted by Gal_Tuesday at 2024-02-18 12:34 PM | Reply

If Danforth also lied about the judge's clerk to the point she received death threats, the judge might take that into account as well because it indicates a lack of remorse.

#32 | Posted by Gal_Tuesday at 2024-02-18 12:37 PM | Reply

Anyway Trump can appeal and if the judgment is unjust, he will win that appeal.

#33 | Posted by Gal_Tuesday at 2024-02-18 12:39 PM | Reply

You should try reading the judge's order, it is devastating

d3i6fh83elv35t.cloudfront.net

Especially page 87 where the judge talks about -------- refusal to admit error and the danger/likelihood that ------- would therefore commit more fraud. One of the aims of justice is to prevent future criminal activity. Consider that in the light of the allegedly high penalty

hmmmmm

is a billionaire paying a $500 fine the equivalent of a poor person paying a $500 fine? is the equivalent penalty just?

A driver in Finland has been fined over $129,000 for speeding. Anders Wiklf was driving 82 kilometers per hour in a 50 kilometer per hour zone on a road in the Aaland Islands when police stopped him on June 3.

#34 TY. If Danforth badmouthed the judge, threatened the clerk and said speeding laws didn't apply to him because everyone speeds and no one was hurt, the judge would likely penalize him more than someone who said,I'm sorry judge. I'll be more careful next time. It won't happen again.
