David Rothkopf: It is time to move beyond the political spin offered by GOP propagandists and Internet trolls and acknowledge that Trump and the MAGA movement are today active assets of Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin, as essential to Russia's future global ambitions as that country's own armed forces.

"Trump and the MAGA movement are today active assets of Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin"

It's the best theory to explain MAGA behavior. Every day provides more evidence.

Legislators being bought off by foreign enemy money goes back at least to the Romans.

Now I think we can add to that blackmail by foreign enemies.

I have a sneaking suspicion that enabling Genocide is not going to encourage enough people to vote for Biden this go-around, as much as he and his supporters would like to believe.

So, apparently, the choices for the average American who has spent their whole lives having evil secretly and not-so-secretly done in their name is this: learn to speak Russian or start turning your domestic ploughshares into semiautomatic swords and finding a nice foxhole to hide.

MAGA won't even stand up for their health care or Social Security benefits.

Where did these shmoos come from?

IMO, it's something even more serious than sex with underage girls.

Perhaps accidentally killing a girl/woman. Like the senator in the Godfather.

It's been obvious since trump picked a russian asset as his campaign manager and then rewrote the GOP platform to let putin keep crimea. Then he picked putin's favorite general to be secretary of defense, putin's favorite oil exec as secretary of state, and immediately tried to lift sanctions on russia.

PS mueller was barred from investigating trump's financial ties to russia.

@#13 ... PS mueller was barred from investigating trump's financial ties to russia. ...

Yup.

Mr Mueller was prevented from investigating some aspects of fmr Pres Trump back then.

But, even with that restriction, the evidence Mr Mueller's investigation uncovered was substantial and damning.

Then there came the report from the Republican-led Senate committee that was even more damning on fmr Pres Trump.

Back in the day, when I ran a message board, one trait I used to try to identify trolls was the, what I call, the "post and run" aspect.

That is, trolls seem to post some odd post, and then just disappear when a counter in the opinion was presented, apparently afraid to back up what they had posted.

I see a few alias here that seem to subscribe to that post and run characteristic.

And I do note that I recognize that some folk may just ~sign off for the night~ and the distinguishing of those good folk from the trolls is what besets a message board sysop.

Hey, RCade, a major shout out to you here.... :)

Been there, had to deal with that....

Hated it.

Old half senile fools need to be in nursing homes, not the White House.

"Both presumptive candidates are Too OLD."

Dear Quote Investigator: The following adage is largely used to deride people who are preoccupied with gossip:

Great Minds Discuss Ideas; Average Minds Discuss Events; Small Minds Discuss People

Eleanor Roosevelt? Charles Stewart? Henry Thomas Buckle? James H. Halsey? Hyman G. Rickover? Anonymous?

The words are attributed to social activist and former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, but I have been unable to find a solid supporting citation. Similar statements have been ascribed to philosopher Socrates and U.S. Naval engineer Hyman Rickover. Would you please examine this topic?

By Shielding British Loyalists From Persecution, the Founders Elevated Principles Over Prejudice

Today, Hamilton's experience defending Loyalists in New York should remind us of two different things. First, for centuries American "insiders" have cleverly and cruelly used law as a tool to exclude, punish, and justify their fears of "outsiders." And, second, that the law can be used, as Hamilton employed it in his post-war practice, to protect even an unpopular few from a powerful majority.

Hamilton did not resolve the persistent tension at the heart of the American experiment in self-government: Should the popular will in our democracy trump the protections of transcendent law grounded in nature, due process, and constitutional principles? But he set an early precedent that defined the country. To be American is to keep up the fight for certain transcendent principles so that they will always prevail over the prejudices of any era.

Trump is attempting to defend the harmed US citizens from the crooked Biden election cartel just as Alexi Navatny was trying to expose their crooked deep state. Those that cant see deep state corruption with the way this administration operates are blind.
