Congress Clears $95bn Aid Package for Ukraine, Israel and Gaza

The US Senate has approved a $95bn (76bn) foreign aid package that includes military support for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. President Joe Biden is expected to sign the legislation into law on Wednesday. The Senate on Tuesday evening backed the measure passed by the US House of Representatives on Saturday. It includes $61bn in military aid for Ukraine, which the Pentagon says can start being delivered to the war-torn nation "within days". It passed in a bipartisan vote of 79-18.

Reacting to the vote, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said it "reinforces America's role as a beacon of democracy and leader of the free world".

And note that the US had already prepositioned material in several of the NATO countries just waiting for the final vote before they were delivered to Ukraine. It's been reported that equipment was already moving over the border within hours of the Senate vote.

Take a look at Donald J. PO1135809. I mean, really look at him. Look at his suit. Look at his tie. Listen to the guy, when he speaks on the teevee, which is almost every day now. Look at his eyes. Look at his bronzer. Watch him walk. Then, when you've really taken a good look at the guy, and listened to what he says, take a look at him speaking at any of his rallies. Look at the crowds gathered around him. Look at the flags. Look at the clothes his supporters are wearing. Listen to them speak to interviewers. Try to avoid the "People of Walmart" memes while you do it.

Now, after you've done all that, ask yourself a question: do you really think that ANYONE who supports or defends PO1135809 is a serious person, worthy of being treated as someone who can offer any form of rational argument? Do you walk up to the street corner bible thumpers, clearly mentally ill, and try to have a rational conversation with them about anything?

Your confusion lies in trying to understand someone who thinks that Donald J. PO1135809 is something other than your observations about not only his physical appearance, but also the content of his character and words. You will never understand them, because *that* guy is the greatest human being on the planet to them. If you're a big fan of Olympics level Greco Roman wrestling, you don't seek out the opinions of Cletus Redneck at the local WWE match...

Forgotten in this legislative mess is the fact that a large portion of the funds allocate will be spent in the US, and often in districts with GOP Congressfolk. Oh, that the districts of the GOPers who voted against this measure GET NOTHING...

That's definitely not a collapse. That's Russia slowly trying to grind their way forward.

For all the whining about the time it too to pass this bill, it took much longer for Ukraine to pass the lowering of their draft age. They'll put another 500,000 in the field through 2025.

Not being able to regain your former territory is not a collapse. It's a stalemate.

Yeah, all the Dems had to do was stop presenting bills that had non-relatable material in them. I mean, Dems are still going to do it as that is their ideology but that doesn't make it right. I've said it before, Dems could release a bill that says, "Every person will get a million dollars every year" and then add "Every person will report to a building every morning to be punched in the face and kicked in the teeth"...and Dems will be like "Yay, free money!!!!" and if Reps don't vote for it Dems will be, "Reps don't want people having money" and completely ignore the whole part about getting punched in the face and kicked in the teeth.
