I have a theory about what happened here. Noem was under serious consideration for VP. As part of that process, her entire life history was combed through for anything that could be viewed as a negative. They decided to hastily ghostwrite a generic politician biography to air her dirty laundry and see how the public would react. We are now in the late stages of this process.

She seems more like a gym rat than a ranch rat.
