Trump returns seized classified documents to Mar-a-Lago aboard Air Force One
www.upi.com

... President Donald Trump on Friday took back to Florida boxes of documents that the FBI had seized from Mar-a-Lago after executing a court-ordered search warrant in August 2022.

About 15 boxes were put onto Air Force One and sent to Palm Beach where the president is spending the weekend at his estate.

The classified documents case by special counsel Jack Smith against Trump, in which Trump pleaded not guilty, was dropped in November after he won the 2024 election.

"The Department of Justice has just returned the boxes," Trump posted on Truth Social. "They are being brought down to Florida and will someday be part of the Trump Presidential Library. Justice finally won out. I did absolutely nothing wrong. This was merely an attack on a political opponent that, obviously, did not work well. Justice in our Country will now be restored." ...

For starters, then why was he so reluctant to say that in a Court of Law?

I have other questions (e.g., the empty folders?), but I will start there.

Fishpus is still lying about how Zelensky hadn't been talking about the necessity of security guarantees for weeks before the meeting.

Force of habit I guess.

#9 Hey stupid, Zelinsky came here to sign the agreement, after meeting with the Dems he didn't. Is that simple enough for you? I would assume not but I gave it a go.

And btw, I never said Zelensky hadn't been talking about the necessity of security guarantees. That's another one of your lies. Or prove me wrong and show me where I said that, other wise you are a liar. Why wouldn't he want US Troops in Ukraine, or europe's. It's just not going to happen with the US. We won't send our troops over there and risk a war with China.

Senator Chris Murphy's statements regarding the minerals deal with Ukraine and his interactions with President Zelenskyy have been inconsistent and contradictory.

Initially, Murphy posted on social media that Zelenskyy had confirmed Ukraine would not support a "phony peace" where Putin gets everything and Ukraine has no security guarantees[4]. This statement implied that Murphy and other Democrats had discussed the deal with Zelenskyy and potentially influenced his decision.

However, when faced with accusations that Democrats had pressured Zelenskyy to reject the deal, Murphy vehemently denied these claims, calling them a "total lie" and "made up out of thin air"[1]. He also stated on Face the Nation that Zelenskyy was "ready to sign the agreement"[3].

These conflicting statements have led to confusion and skepticism about Murphy's role in the negotiations. His initial post suggested he had discouraged Zelenskyy from accepting the deal, while his later denials and claims that Zelenskyy was ready to sign contradict his earlier position[3].

The inconsistency in Murphy's statements has fueled speculation about the Democrats' influence on Zelenskyy's decision-making process regarding the minerals deal with the Trump administration[4][6].

We only expect simplicity from you... also we expect you to conflate things that aren't related... and then lie about it.

Yesterday you were claiming that it was a Dem's fault that Zelensky wanted a security guarantee.

Today you never said that.

Either way, you side with the child murderers Putin and Trump.

Wrong again liar. I said that Zelensky flew here after negotiations in Ukraine with the intent to sign the deal. He met with Dems before the meeting and then said he wouldn't sign without security guarantees. Murphy stated in his post after meeting with Zelensky that it was a fake peace agreement and Putin gets everything he wants. Murphy then went on all the talking head shows saying Trump is a Putin puppet. If Zelensky had no intention of signing why did he fly over here?

This sounds like good advice to me:

Jeffries also said leadership understands if some members skip the speech--as several have said they plan to do--but urged a "strong, determined and dignified Democratic presence in the chamber."

House Democratic caucus chair Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.) told Axios leadership is telling members to "keep the focus on the health and safety and the economic wellbeing of our constituents."

The bottom line: "Whether we are wearing pink, or black, or yellow and blue, we are all conveying our displeasure with this administration," said. Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-V.I.).

"What's more important is our work together and the pressure for three Republicans to do the right thing for everyone," she said.

I thought everyone wearing pink was a bad idea, but some wearing pink, some black, some blue & yellow, some carrying pocket constitutions and wearing upside down American flag pins, works better for me. Some not showing up, some walking out, some holding up placards also works for me. Different people have different ideas of how best to protest. The one thing I don't think they should do is heckle him. Let him lie his ass off right to the American people's face, then correct his lies afterward on every platform they can and also use clips of his lies going forward in floor speeches and campaign ads.

@#23 ... Tuesday Afternoons

www.youtube.com ...

OK, I admit, in addition to be a big fan of Pink Floyd, I am also a big fan of Moody Blues.

The link you provide for the song credits the "Threshold of a Dream" DVD, and misnames the song.

Yeah, that DVD was the source of the version of the song that was posted, but the original version of the song was on the "Days of Future Passed" album, and it was called ...

"The Afternoon"
--- "Forever Afternoon (Tuesday?)"
--- "(Evening) Time to Get Away"

imo, "Days of Future Passed" was one of the very early progressive rock albums that required listening of the whole album, similar to the contemporary Beatles' album Sgt. Peppers.

YMMV :)

I would disappear in that album. Days of Future Passed remains one of my all time favorites.

@#31

thx.

Placed on the queue to listen to .

Back in the day (early 1970's), I remember ...

My Fraternity Brothers and I going over to Madison Square Garden (NYC) to see the Moody Blues concert. It was an easy ride via the PATH trains from Hoboken, NJ to NYC.

Then, for the next night, we were driving to Philadelphia to see the Moody Blues perform at the then-called Philadelphia Spectrum.

We brought our sleeping bags and camped out on the living room floor of a Frat Brother who lived in Philadelphia (we bought his ticket to the concert in appreciation).

After waking up, we drove back to campus the next day.

Yeah, great music, fun times.

Lucky you, Lamplighter, I regrettably did not get a chance to see the Moody Blues play live. I read that the drummer was the author of those wonderful introductory poems for the songs.

"Be it sight, sound, the smell, the touch...
There's something inside that we need so much.
The sight of a touch, or the scent of a sound,
Or the strength of an oak with roots deep in the ground..."

Trying to divide the Country to make it weaker.
