These sources of information are under threat: President Donald Trump's administration has proposed cutting most of the EPA's budget and initiated mass firings at the CDC, taken down climate and health information from government websites, frozen or revoked funding for some climate research and interventions, stalled environmental justice initiatives, and proposed rescinding a 16-year-old federal finding that mandates government action on greenhouse gases. It would be so wonderful if republican policies only affected republicans. So THEY can cut their taxes to zero, THEY can go bankrupt, THEY can suck on pollution, and THEY can destroy their homes with climate change while the rest of us watch and laugh.

YOu're so stupid that you used an example of GOVERNMENTAL REGULATIONS WORKING to protect the environment, as part of your argument against governmental climate regulations.
This is how dumb you have to be to join trump's cult.

This is what happens when money used for a cause turns into a grift, people get cynical.
Like many Lumper causes, they start out feeling good and well meaning, I am all for fixing the climate, Teslas etal. But eventually grow into a money making greed operation, worse than any capitalist company you could complain about because these organizations just siphon off money with no real purpose other than to pay for jet setting jaunts and conferences.
For instance .
Despite reporting only $100 in total revenue in 2023, a $2 billion grant was awarded to a new nonprofit, Power Forward Communities. www.epa.gov
There has been a laundry list of "new" green energy companies just created accepting Government money.
Tragic, its worse than big oil really.

This is feel good.
Once people knew the Ozone hole was caused by CFCs its useage dropped 50% before the government entered into the Montreal Protocol.
Its ironic too, because did you order a Tesla to "Save the planet", now you disown it just because you don't like the owner.
What -------- artist you are.

He can't be serious, right?
Ozone depleted- world took action to limit chlorofluorocarbons-Ozone healed
Acid rain, world took action to control sulfur and carbon emissions from coal plants-problem solved
Rivers bursting into flames-US passes regulations controlling discharges of hazardous compounds into rivers-rivers are healing, no more firey rivers
People's IQs are literally sinking-remove lead from gasoline and paint-IQs rise steadily, likely a positive impact on crime reduction as a side effect
Birds dying at massive scale-ban DDT-birds recover
and on and on and on
Until idiots took over the republican party.
Think how healed the globe would be if Gore had won in 2000, we'd have 24 years of a climate change fight behind.

I wish I could work up enough empathy to care.
I did, for a long time. I cared a lot.
I don't give a crap about my own species anymore.
We're demonstrably too stupid to be allowed to survive.
Life will continue on this planet long after humans are gone.
FYI - we're not special. There is no god.
It's hilarious that you idiot clowns believe any of that abrahamic nonsense.
No gods, no kings.
Everything happens for a reason.

This is false, trolling is just making up post after post acting like you dont understand what the original poster is talking about.
Corky does this, going on and on about "whataboutism" ignoring the actual discussion. Gaslighter does this too, going socrates about the most obtuse things, posting whole articles on and on and on. Basically anyone that posts consistently more than say 10 times on particular thread is probably a troll.

This after just experiencing one of the worst wildfires ever in California.
I would argue the entire west coast will continue to be extremely vulnerable to these fires.
and that's not a positive...it's just what it is. I don't wish any blue staters to be victims of anything nor do I believe they deserve it.
I guess if Northguy truly feels as though it's a "positive" that red staters are the biggest victims of climate change then fine. He's free to feel any way he wants.

Here's what I think you are missing about NG3's post. Republican politicians and Republican voters tend to be the ones who say climate change isn't real and vote against policies that work to combat it. So, from the perspedtive of folks who believe the effects of climate change are real, it's a positive when red states reap the results of their actions, because maybe then they'll realize the error of their ways. Unfortunately, some people need to learn things the hard way. Also unfortunately, there are plenty of people in red states who don't need this lesson, but they, too, will suffer.

FYI. A new MIT-led study confirms that the Antarctic ozone layer is healing, as a direct result of global efforts to reduce ozone-depleting substances. Scientists including the MIT team have observed signs of ozone recovery in the past.1 day ago

I've talked about my family who are farmers being Trump voters. Now if it turns out that they are hurt by some of Trump's policies that are affecting farmers, will I think that is a positive development? Yes and no. I don't want my family or anyone else to be hurt by Trump, but if millions of people are going to be hurt, then why should they be exempt? Maybe if they personally feel the pain his policies are bringing to so many, they will realize they made a mistake and speak up against them. Will they deserve that pain? Again, yes and no. Yes, they deserve to feel the ramifications of their votes. No, they don't desere to suffer anymore than I do or you do or any other American does. I think a lot of non-Trump voters feel this way. Maybe I'm wrong and that's not the thinking that was behind NG3's post, but that's the way I read it.

Yeah no.
It's not really "fixed".
It IS healing tho. And as long as it is healing and not disappearing again then we are going in the right direction and there is no need to make any issue out it. Which is it course why Maverick has not heard anything about it lately.
Also because he is too lazy apparently to google it. Or ask his personal AI.

The entire concept of climate change is fraudulent because it is not proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. It was created by politicians for political purposes. Unless it is proven it should never be used as Biden to destroy the couture and economy. The concept has been repeatedly been proven wrong.
