In 2009, then-USAF Colonel Don Bacon appears to be genuinely happy speaking to his Commander-in-Chief: upload.wikimedia.org

USAF General Don Bacon (Ret.) knows incompetence when he sees it. As a Republican congressman, he was charitable in his public denouncement of SECDEF Pete Hogsbreath. With certainty General Bacon had other language in his head about this sloppy drunk MNARNG Captain in charge of the Pentagon.

Yhose cowards speak now but where were they when his appointment was supposed to be with the "advise and consent" of the Senate? Now his irresponsibility is a good reason to fire him but it wasn't exactly a well kept secret when Trump appointed him for the simple reason that he can kiss Trump's ass so well.

You know how to prove that sensitive information like the location of the strikes was not on these? Because if they were Democrats would have called the enemy and warned them.

www.newsweek.com

... Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is under mounting scrutiny after reports revealed he pulled highly sensitive information about U.S. airstrikes in Yemen from a secure military communications channel and shared it via Signal, an unsecured messaging app, with his wife, brother, lawyer, and others.

NBC News first reported that the data -- including launch and bomb drop times for U.S. warplanes targeting Houthi positions -- originated from U.S. Central Command's classified communications. A source familiar with a second Signal chat confirmed to the Associated Press that the same sensitive operational details were shared again, this time with an even wider circle, raising concerns over a potential security breach. ...

In Russia, Hegseth would miss a meeting due to a cold, and then be planted at Arlington 2 days later.

Don Bacon?!? Prominent Republican?!? You mean 'Rep. Don Bacon, who recently announced his retirement from Congress, so as to avoid a well-funded primary race against some raving looney from Fremont, backed with $1 Gajillion from Leon Skum's Superduper PAC'. Right? That guy....

Trump will just hire an equally incompetent and bigoted moron to replace Hegseth. ..Or maybe even worse.

So republicans don't want a sloppy secretary of defense because they're so concerned about national security, but they're cool with a russian puppet president.

I foresee Rep. Don Bacon being replaced by someone more loyal to Trump in upcoming elections.
