President Donald Trump on Wednesday said the move by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to pull all grants for Harvard University was "good," as "the students they have, the professors they have, the attitude they have is not American."

"the attitude they have is not American."

Republicans approve of this new era of Thought Police.

Can a Trump supporter, possible the poster of this thread, explain why you support this action.

Is it because Harvard students and professors won't pledge fealty to Trump?

Harvard University, founded October 28, 1636.

I'm sure imagine Harvard will have a response.

Probably litigation.

"...the students they have, the professors they have, the attitude they have is not American."

And Donald gets to decide who/what qualifies as "American".

Where are our resident CENSORSHIP screechers now?

What does Trump want Harvard to do?

What is your reaction to that?

Donald gets to decide who/what qualifies as "American".

Seems to be the direction this country is heading.

Pretty soon, only landowning, white, Christian men will be allowed to vote.

It's startling how many conservative women are eager to give up their rights.

This is more about punishing dissent

I wouldn't be surprised if these grants get redirected to Trump University.

It's a private university. Do you understand what that means? Maybe you can answer why TF private universities depend on public money...

Follow the article further

"In a letter to Harvard in mid-April, Trump's administration had called for broad government and leadership reforms at the university as well as changes to its admissions policies. It also demanded the university audit views of diversity on campus and stop recognizing some student clubs."

IF they don't want to comply ----, they don't get the freebies.

Trump thinks any deal can be "re-negotiated" at any time. As I recall this is one of the tenets of his book, The Art Of The Deal.

He doesn't understand why nobody wants to do business with people like that.

"IF they don't want to comply ----, they don't get the freebies."

Generally yes, but it's not quite that simple for the government to impose arbitrary and capricious -- or otherwise unlawful -- new strictures on We The People.

Harvard is an independent university. Fat Donnie ------ can suck ass.

It's a private university.

Didn't you recently post a thread about how much better private schools are than failing public schools?

That. Texas giving public funding for enrollment in private schools was enlightened?

IF they don't want to comply ----, they don't get the freebies.

"IF they don't want to comply..."

And by that, he means "teach that Donald Trump actually WON the 2020 election", or face the consequences.

Translation: Trump is destroying each and every independent power in the country, people who didn't vote for him. The educational system teaches kids to think and reason...they are the enemy of the fascist.

Harvard will continue on very well without our tax dollars so am glad this is tasking place. If you hae a problem with that you should Google how large endowment fund they have.

How does it benefit us that the United States is surrendering our leadership role in the global high-tech economy?

How is that good?

How the Republican Party became the party of anti intellectualism is beyond me.

The way the minds of exploiters function reminds me of the way psychopaths behave.

Republicans are psychopaths.

"As long os our private economy hi tech companies continue to innovate"

You're missing the point.
They're not going to be able to do as much of that.
Why? Because Government funding drives that high tech research and development.

Democrats have destroyed their "party" culturally and politically fallen behind the times and thus now lack support of most Americans. Lack of common sense and normality means lack of support from others with sense. There is no longer any contagion for their behavior and beliefs.

The Dems have become a pouting sad depressing pathetic lot that believe acting angry, speaking in low life and clueless is great. No one has support for them anymore except a few other angry Dems. They foment anti intellectualism.
