Israel can only stand down when Hamas is removed from the face of the earth. Hamas, of course, is an acronym, it means Islamic Resistance. The political entity can have its leaders killed but the spirit of the idea will never be removed from the people. You can thank the Propaganda Model for that. Read Chomsky if you haven't.

So. Israel will never end the idea of "Islamic Resistance." Perhaps they had a chance after the 1967 war. Perhaps they had a chance after Sadat was assassinated. They lost their last chance after Rabin was assassinated. They elected to use their military to give birth to yet another generational grudge starting on Oct 8 through today.

Ask any Israel supporter, they will tell you Hamas are savages who can't be reasoned with.

So, by creating Israel, the Zionists chose to have a war with religious fanatics, thinking properly that they would win. And they did all this in the name of the Jews, and it makes Jews targets, like the Jewish athletes murdered at the Munich Olympics.

Israel won their war of independence, and they won their wars in 1967 and 1974. But somehow there's still two million Palestinians awaiting Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza, and a half million more in the West Bank who are taking a long time to be run off their land. With Israel, war and territorial expansion is a generational process; it's not a Blitzkrieg. It's not far off from the Spanish Missions that used to control California.

Point is, Israel will forever be at war with her Muslim neighbors, until she has conquered or otherwise eliminated all Muslims who bear in their spirit this sense of Islamic Resistance to the Western Military Occupation.

That is the only feasible scenario under current Israeli leadership.

The other outcome, where Israel ceases to exist, would only happen if Israel thought they were truly losing some years-away war, and decided to nuke itself in some sort of Scorched Earth policy right out of the Old Testament, which seems as likely an outcome as any considering the religious whackjobs calling the shots in Israel.
