President Trump's second term has been a payday for the powerful, exposing a disconnect in his promise to deliver for "the forgotten man" of America's working class.

Rural America has been lied to. Trump's "Big Ugly Bill" aka Trump's MAGA GOP Legislature "Debt Bomb Bill" is crushing hard/working Rural Americans and it will only get worse. Why? Because all he truly cares about is tax cuts for his billionaire friends. Speak up. Show up. Fight back!

More from the article (and this time, I'll try not to miss a letter in the cut 'n' paste) ...

... Why it matters: The populist paradox at the heart of MAGA -- a movement fueled by economic grievance and championed by a New York billionaire -- has never been more pronounced.

- - - Trump's blue-collar base remains fiercely loyal, energized by his hardline stances on immigration, trade and culture -- and patient that his economic "Golden Age" will materialize.

- - - But so far, the clearest financial rewards of Trump's tenure are flowing upward -- to wealthy donors, family members, insiders and the president himself.

The big picture: Trump's inner circle has shattered norms around profiting from the presidency, dulling public outrage to the point where even the most brazen access schemes draw only fleeting scrutiny. ...

When will Pres Trump return to trying to benefit those who elected him?

Instead of those who are capable of paying. and seem to pay, for the Oval Office to do their desires?

Return to? Explain.

@#3 ... Return to? Explain. ...

Good catch.

Yeah, my wording could have been better.

"Return to" implies that he was there to at an earlier time.

Maybe a better wording for #2 might be ...

When will Pres Trump start trying to benefit those who elected him?

Instead of those who are capable of paying. and seem to pay, for the Oval Office to do their desires?

Thx.

That's the way it is looking.

How many CEOs have been calling Pres Trump of late?

Wait until they start to realize that the economy can't run on service workers, plumbers, electricians and day laborers.

"The Republicans have always had a challenge that they were the party of wealthy Americans and business. The problem is wealthy Americans will always be a very small minority of Americans. So for wealthy Americans, they have to convince at least some nonwealthy Americans to support their platform. How do you do that? Well, you do it with issues of identity, their sense of threat, their sense of fear, their sense of the world is changing and "I'm being left behind." It's very effective."

The MAGA blue-collar base can wait patiently for their populist payoff which is just around the corner: barringtonstageco.org

MAGA's Blue-collar Base Waits Patiently for Populist Payoff

Trump is fighting the culture wars for his MAGA base but that's it. If they think he's going to put money in their pockets, they have seriously misjudged him and the republicans. I wonder if fighting the culture war is enough? Will the satisfaction of seeing Hispanics and Blacks beaten down be enough to make up for the lack of jobs, no medical care and an empty dinner table?

#4 lamplighter The answer to your question is never and it always has been never. He never intended to help anyone but the rich so that they would forever be in his debt. He believes that money can buy friends, but it can't.

You can't buy friends, but you can rent em a lot of times in a row.

@#15 ... "96 people arrested for... wait for it... 'suspicion of failure to disperse' ...

So, the National Guard and the Marines were needed for that?

Why?

What is Pres Trump trying to distract from?

#16

The ridiculous cost of his Birthday Parade, his full Surrender to Russia in Ukraine, his dopey war in the Pacific against China, his coming Fall Recession, the pee bag attached to his leg, lots of others.

Mainly perhaps, his trillion dollar gift to billionaires in his Big Beautiful Billionaire Boys Bill paid for by all taxpayers.

I mean, Trumpers obviously don't care about that at all.
