Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, June 19, 2025

Americans are divided on major issues that the US supreme court is due to rule on in the coming weeks, but most agree on one thing: neither Republicans nor Democrats see the nation's top judicial body as politically neutral, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

"In the poll, only 24% of all respondents supported ending birthright citizenship and 52% " most " opposed Trump on the issue."

Opposing the King is a Flogging offense. At least.

Well, DUH! just look at how the dem appointed judges vote in most rulings, and one sees they are ruling with an activist liberal agenda rather than whether or not a case is constitutional.

Who thinks the SCOTUS is neutral?

Trump / McConnell personally seated 3 justices.

The bench is 6/3 in favor of conservatives.

2 Judges, Samuel Alito and Clearance Thomas, have proven they have no interest in what the constitution of the United States says.

The SCOTUS is a joke. It's a corrupt, failed institution.

Trump broke it, like everything else he touches.

The absolute dearth of strategic thinking on the part of many progressives is befuddling to me. We are dealing with a SCOTUS the GOP packed over the course of almost 40 years. A SCOTUS that will now strike down any progressive policies and laws we built through a century of hard work. A SCOTUS that will also nullify any such policies and laws a hypothetical lefty president/congress manages to enact.

Progressives sabotage a branch necessary to accomplish their long-term goals because the Dem presidential candidate isn't exactly to their liking (fReE PaLEstiNE!?!, Buttery Males!). Meanwhile relative moderates like Bill Clinton appointed justices who protected us from GOP destruction for decades after they left office.

Of course it's not. It never has been. This isn't new. Sometimes it's packed with liberals, sometimes it's packed with conservatives. The only thing that doesn't change is that the people on the other side it isn't packed with whine and cry like babies because their egos are being hurt that they can't pass whatever they want to.

Make no mistake, Dems have significantly benefited from a Dem-packed SCOTUS just as much as Reps have from Rep-packed SCOTUS. Whining like a baby about it increases your anxiety level solely due to your own fault.

"2 Judges, Samuel Alito and Clearance Thomas, have proven they have no interest in what the constitution of the United States says."

Evidence? It can't be abortion because the Constitution is pretty clear what states are responsible for and what the Feds are responsible for and the judges followed that. In fact, by the very definition of "progressive" and "liberal", your party's MO is to change which inherently means not always going with the grain. Conservatives want the country to stay traditional. Reps want to keep everything how it was when the Constitution was written (to varying degrees) and Dems want to change everything to meet current political and social climates regardless of what is written in the Constitution (to varying degrees).

Both sides are needed in any government like ours. What isn't needed are people whining and crying because their side isn't winning at any given time, and then not even understanding their own party's ideology by somehow insinuating that Reps are bad for being Conservative. It's their nature to follow the Constitution, for good and bad. Dems want progress so they want things to chain, so it is their nature to argue the Constitution and make changes to keep up with the times. Which means your quote above is absolutely wrong and you are just mad that the CHANGES you want made to the Constitution haven't occurred yet. Common sense and critical thinking were thrown away by the Dem party in favor of hypocrisy and double standards. And the result...an idiot like Trump can get voted in.

It's always fun to see Republicans throw an epic tantrum riddled with factual errors because they have no idea the history of something.

Humtake is just another useful idiot for Trump.
