Donald Trump is sidestepping his own defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, while seeking advice on whether to launch a military strike against Iran, according to a report. An unnamed U.S. official told The Washington Post that the president is instead turning to a couple of four-star generals for guidance on whether to join Israel in attacking Iran's nuclear facilities, with the head of the Pentagon being largely left out. "Nobody is talking to Hegseth," the official said. "There is no interface operationally between Hegseth and the White House at all."

Everybody in Wash DC-- including Trumpf-- knows that talking to the vacuous Pete Hosgbreath is the equivalent of talking to an empty suit. Yesterday, Senator Duckworth didn't waste time asking 'Whiskey Pete' any questions in the Senate Armed Services Committee hearings. The US Army combat veteran spent her time excoriating the dipsomaniac misogynist, then directed her questions to the four-star USAF general (the CJCS) that accompanied the ex-Fox TV host to the committee hearings.

Here's somebody talking to Keggers:

"Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) denounced Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's lack of "guts and balls" during a hearing Tuesday when he refused to say whether he'd given orders to the military to shoot at unarmed protesters.

The heated exchange one of several during Hegseth's series of hearings before the Senate Armed Services Committee kicked off when Hegseth apparently laughed at Slotkin's inquiry about whether he'd given such orders."

"Pete Hegseth's lack of "guts and balls"... she may have talking to his wife, too.

She reamed him a new one, didn't she?! And all spot on ... delivered so eloquently by a wounded combat vet, Duckworth.

Honestly the USA is at less risk if no one talks to hegseth.

Better to have no one in charge than a drunk moron.

#7: Hi American Unity: Senator Duckworth did a terrific job lambasting the nincompoop and he had to just sit there and take it. Oof! BTW: My band did a non-USO gig at a USCG facility last century.

@#6 ... "Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) denounced Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's lack of "guts and balls" during a hearing Tuesday when he refused to say whether he'd given orders to the military to shoot at unarmed protesters. ...

Yeah, that line of simple questioning was difficult to watch, as Sec Hegseth attempted to do all he was apparently capable of doing, ineptly to try to deflect away from the very simple question posed by Sen Slotkin.

Why has Pres Trump seemed to surround himself with incompetents for his second term?

Nobody is Talking to Hegseth

That's what bartenders and, in the Trump administration, hairstylists and makeup artists are for.

Holy f**kballs why on Earth would he put someone at SecDef that he does not have faith in?

Why has Pres Trump seemed to surround himself with incompetents for his second term?

Because the --------- at Heritage Foundation told him to. He's only interested in collecting bribes, putting his orange moon pie face on the teevee and golfing. It's all the biggest reality show in his dementia riddled mind.

This is a new level of incompetence even for him.

Good job --------- you elected a chump.

Hey you stupid f*&^, Austin delegated authority to the deputy Secretary of Defense because he was having a medical issue.

Hegseth is being ignored because he's a drunk and an unqualified liability.

Yet again, your stupidity knows no bounds and your gullible dips(*&tery to defend this clown show administration knows no bottom.

STFU you f*&^ing abysmally stupid pile of worthless s*&^, the two situations aren't even remotely related.

Instead, the president is leaning more heavily on top military brass like four-star General Erik Kurilla, nicknamed "The Gorilla," who leads U.S. Central Command and oversees operations in the Middle East, according to the Post.

Also advising Trump is General Dan Caine, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the nation's highest-ranking military officer. Both generals are said to be providing Trump their input on Iran, while Hegseth and his team remain largely out of the loop.

It has nothing to do with availability you f*&^ing terarded pile of dog s*&^.

It's very apparent that Trump's cabinet secretaries are nothing but figureheads. Gabbard and now Hegseth? Why do people allow themselves to be demeaned like this? Proximity to power? They need to resign.
