It's laughably ironic that the one truthful independent voice in the media, the one least afraid of telling truth to power, is the government sponsored one. All the others are good capitalists and too afraid of losing money and so capitulate to King Dotard.

It is clear, either one if for one person, one vote democracy, or one is for the fascist empire in the making of the Trump grifting gang. An independent media is as valuable to a democracy as is having two independent political parties, devoted to the Constitution. Too bad America has only one such political party...the Democratic Party.

Only the real people who have watched and/or listened to PBS/NPR over many years will really appreciate what a valuable source for unbiased news they are It isn't surprising that Fascist, dictator wannabe Trump wants to stifle them but what he is too stupid to understand those two jewels of real journalism will survive with or without government funding because Americans who value honest, unbiased information will continue contributing to insure their solvency in spite of Trump's efforts to silence the truth! Because we value the truth more than we despise him.

MAGA dislikes NPR because it teaches empathy and caring for one another, cooperating with each other with tolerance, kindness and love.

All things that are the antithesis to the hate, anger, ignorance, intolerance and division the GOP preaches.

A generation of Americans that were raised on Mr Rogers Neighborhood and Sesame Street, who aren't filled with hate, made it possible for Americans of all backgrounds to excel in America.

This sacred the ---- out of racist white Americans who see hard working immigrants doing better than they are.

Racist white Americans who have been here for several generations and have nothing more to show for it than their family trailer they're living in.

This is what Trump banked on.
