"I think this is the most dangerous period since before World War Two. There's certain similarities right now to the '30s," he said, referencing the notorious SmootHawley tariffs and isolationist sentiment. He added: "Those who were totally anxious to stay out of all of what was going on in Europe were called 'America First'. Sound familiar?"

Of course, Mitch the Mouth could have prevented all this from happening had he allowed Trump's Impeachment rather than go into an empty Senate Floor and say Trump was guilt.

""There's certain similarities right now to the 30s," he continued, pointing to the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of 1930, which he said is "widely believed by historians and economists to have taken the depression worldwide."

"McConnell also noted similarities between those who oppose U.S. intervention globally today and those who held similar views before America was drawn into the World War II.

He also expressed concern that the U.S. isn't sufficiently prepared for what appears to be a growing alliance between some countries that are antagonistic toward the U.S."

Moscow Mitch is responsible for the sad state of affairs we have today. If he hadn't rigged the Supreme Court by robbing Obama of an appointment and refused to convict Trump we wouldn't have this problem. He can shove his concern where the sun don't shine.

"Dear Moscow Mitch: I hope you and your Wu Mao wife enjoy your spectacular US Senate mega-pension after decades of passing legislation to lower the quality of life for hardworking American taxpayers. May you never catch an illness or disease that your platinum health insurance coverage can't treat or cure. And during your Faustian retirement, may you never get struck by a stray bullet from an NRA-approved firearm in your home state of Kentucky.
Signed,
Merrick Garland.
PS: And thanks to you, I was the ineffective milquetoast USAG that couldn't convict Dummkopf Trumpf, leading us to today's calamity."

Mitch has more to do with the conditions he describes than any other politician alive today. He could have supported impeaching Trump. He could have appointed justices who believe in justice to the Supreme Court but instead he gave us this current court that thinks it is just fine for the President to assassinate his political rivals.
Times like this that I wish I was religious and believed in a hell because that it sounds like a fair place for a person like him to end up.

A man gone from his constituents so long he can scarcely spell Kentucky. Only Rafael Cruz of Canada is more despised by those on the Left ...

T-squared, L-squared.
Given many opportunities, Mitch, you just whored for your side.
Now be a good destroyer of the nation and just eff off.

I first met Mitch McConnell many years ago, when he was the chief executive of the county that includes Louisville. At the time he seemed a reasonable, conscientious guy.

But all he ever wanted to do was politics, and he lost his way. Too many years in office, isolated from people outside the beltway, can do that to a person. All you have to do is look at the comments on this post to see how universally despised he is.

The abyss that he brought us ALL to the brink of.

Now we are ALL staring into that abyss.

But hey. That's what YOU voted for.

Gratz on getting your wish.

Winning.
