Study Links Trump Being President to Increased Use of Tylenol
MINNEAPOLIS (The Borowitz Report)"According to a new study published on Monday, there is a strong link between Donald Trump being president and increased use of Tylenol.
The study, which was published by the University of Minnesota Medical School, reports that consumption of the pain reliever has increased by nine thousand percent since Trump's Inauguration in January.
Professor Davis Logsdon, who supervised the study, called the data "surprising," adding, "We expected the increase to be much greater."
Logsdon said that the medical school would soon release additional findings linking Trump's presidency to an increased use of alcohol, marijuana, and crack.

Tylenol, or acetaminophen, can cause liver damage, especially when taken in excessive doses or over a prolonged period. It's important to follow dosage instructions carefully to avoid the risk of acute liver failure, which can be life-threatening. Don't take acetaminophen with alcohol.

Thank you Dr ----.
Did you know that any drug can cause problems if you take too much over a prolonged period? Also Tylenol may help relieve pain in the moment if taken correctly. You can also drown in a teaspoon of water.
Should we ban water or at least put warning labels on it?
What's exactly is your point Einstein?
Nevermind.
I don't care. Do you?
Let the lawsuits begin.

#18 Got any examples of someone drowning in a teaspoon of water? Sorry, not sorry that Tylenol is not as safe as you want to believe. It's easy to exceed the maximum safe dosage because acetaminophen is in lots of over the counter products. You should do more research than just take the opposite view that Orange Man Bad.

RFK Jr. said there would be "a massive testing and research effort" involving "hundreds of scientists from around the world".
There was no testing and research. There were no scientists. It was a press conference with claims based on some unspecified "report" that doesn't appear to exist.
Doctors, health professionals, and medical associations around the US and the world have pushed back though. The actual experts know it's a bunch of baloney. And dangerous.

"We found a strong and consistent association between prenatal acetaminophen use and offspring diagnoses of autism and ADHD. Twenty-seven studies from around the world reported a positive [link]. Nine reported no association, and four reported a protective effect. The higher-quality the studies, the stronger the link."

Now look at the reason why.

First, you are citing an interview with an author of a meta-analysis that is presenting a defense for the study's conclusion(s). She will certainly make her case for her work. I would expect that. Second, Meta-analysis is a tool to try and get at trends, based on qualification of, and the choices to include, other studies. It is not the answer. It is an analysis. Third, you are ignoring the repercussions for not taking Tylenol, pretending that's a safer route. To this contributor's credit, she does not do that:
"UM epidemiologist Ann Bauer... told POLITICO... Tylenol and generic versions should remain a pain relief and fever-reduction option for them."
Importantly, you have to treat maternal fever and severe pain because they pose risks to the developing fetus, such as neural tube defects, pre-term birth, bleeding risks. So we have to present a balanced approach and alternate pain medications are not safe for use during pregnancy.
Does anyone think people are just taking acetaminophen for fun? What's the point?
Orange Man Bad is correct. He was a raving lunatic screaming about "DO NOT TAKE TYLENOL!" over and over and over. A fccking nutcase. He's putting women and their pregnancies at risk. He is ridiculous. He is dangerous. www.youtube.com
