WH Memo: No Backpay for Furloughed Federal Employees
If the White House acts on that legal analysis, it would dramatically escalate Dummkopf Trumpf's pressure on Senate Democrats to end the week-old shutdown
LOL! Watch the country come to a standstill and see who gets the blame.

What does this President have against faithfully enforcing the law?
This is just the President not knowing the law and or attempting to circumvent the law in order to create confusion and uncertainty. Again.
Since the passage of the Government Employee Fair Treatment Act in 2019, federal employees are legally guaranteed to receive back pay after a government shutdown ends. However, the Trump administration has challenged this interpretation during the current October 2025 shutdown, suggesting some furloughed workers may not be paid. This has created significant confusion and uncertainty.
