A lawsuit previously alleged that David Gentile--just pardoned by Trump-- was an associate of Russian organized crime figure and oligarch Michael Cherney. A business news outlet found that Cherney's daughters benefited from some of Gentile's earliest dealings.

He scammed over 1,000 people, most of whom were not wealthy - veterans, farmers, teachers, nurses, small businesses owners. Some lost everything. But he's a rich Republican, so Trump let him get away with it

If the government won't deal with them then some people will take it upon themselves to do so. Going to be more like Luigi out there.

Come now Corky. You know that it's only considered a "fraud" by Trumpets if it occurred during the evil Biden administration or in Democratic state with a Democratic governor, etc.

Otherwise, they were just patriots doing their jobs and making money so all is forgiven.

Thems the new rules. Apparently. At least for ~2 more years.

Apparently.

" "At trial, the government was unable to tie any supposedly fraudulent representations to Mr. Gentile," the official added. "Mr. Gentile also raised serious concerns that the government had elicited false testimony and failed to correct such testimony."

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt reiterated that statement at a press briefing on Monday, rejecting that Gentile was part of a Ponzi scheme.

"This is another example that has been brought to the president's attention of the weaponization of justice from the previous administration, and therefore, he signed this commutation," Leavitt told reporters."

Corky,

"Do you, Trumpers?"

I'm not sure I qualify as a "Trumper", though I did vote for him. I don't approve of everything he does.

Having said that, based on all new information I've seen and the outcome of events, I would again.

I think commuting his sentence sounds fishy.

That's about as far as I can go.

I don't know enough about the case or what motivated his decision.

The truth is, nobody on this site does either, no matter how brilliant or informed they think they are.

Of course you are a cultist and a MAGA Trumper. At least be honest for once. He could shoot a loved one and you would STILL vote for Trump.

#22 | Posted by LauraMohr at 2025-12-03 01:08 AM | Reply

Laura,

Based on the fact I've seen liberals label everything MAGA that doesn't include hating Trump, that makes liberal judgement a wide net and really no clear definition what a MAGA really is.

I know I'm not MAGA because I don't accept everything I hear from conservatives and I accept even less from liberals.

I do want to see America be a great country.

Does that mean liberals hate America as well as Trump?

Ok. Define "woke bs".

I want to hate it too! But I wanna make sure I'm hating on the right thing. I've only got so much hate to go around. Like Trumpy says, you only get so much hate in the hate tank when you are born so we need to conserve it.

Thanks.

Donner,

You see...I don't really care what Trump says.

I have my own thoughts and beliefs.

When you quote Trump at me and then want to know my opinion about it, I didnt pay attention when he said it, so I'm not going to respond now.

I don't follow every word he says.

I voted against Harris because she's either a puppet or over her head. Regardless she's a liberal and I don't like them anymore.

But I can't do it if I am not hating on the right things you know.

We would be in far better shape had Kamala won. There's no question about that. We wouldn't be sinking financially like we are today. As far as the border is concerned. That's a red herring. Neither party is totally for open borders. The last two presidents that were for open borders were Reagan and Bush 41. The border is also a scapegoat for what's wrong with America. Truth be told. White Americanz are afraid of becoming a minority race in this country. Why do you think they are clamoring for total border closure.
