... Several EU officials and analysts had pushed back on the strategy, questioning its focus on freedom of expression and likening it to language used by the Kremlin. ...

I wonder if it looks like it was translated from Russian via google's translate ...

"New US security strategy aligns with Russia's vision"

Republicans are Russian foreign agents.
They're just too dumb to realize it.

And those who do realize it, well:

ICYMI, Politico reported:

*** US Secretary of War Crimes Delivers Another Boring, Unimaginative Speech ***

The most underqualified Secretary of Defense in US history, a pro-Kremlin alcoholic who was accused of paying $50,000 to a woman he sexually assaulted in 2017, launched a full-throated attack on post-Cold War US foreign policy, castigating former presidents and generals by name while declaring the age of American "utopian idealism" over.

US Secretary of War Crimes Pete "Hic!" Hegseth, mired in an idiotic OPSEC imbroglio of his own making ("Signalgate") and accused of ordering the murder of defenseless alleged drug traffickers in the Caribbean Sea, bleated talking points to a bored audience at the annual Reagan Defense Forum. The heavily-tattooed misogynist outlined a new military focus on the Western Hemisphere, demanded allies fend for themselves, and emphasized taking a more conciliatory approach to China's armed forces. In essence this lickspittle conceded that Dummkopf Trumpf will let Beijing eclipse US military hegemony in the Pacific, therefore potentially abandoning allies like Taiwan, South Korea, or Japan.

The former second-rate weekend TV tumor for Faux News mindlessly parroted the scrambled ideas released in the new National Security Strategy.

"Out with idealistic utopianism," Hegseth brayed. "In with hard-nosed realism."

The white supremacist, called an "abuser of women" by his own mother, only made a passing reference to Russia, ignoring the staggering amount of lives lost on both sides, the dangers of radiation leaks from Chernobyl caused by Russian attacks, or the Trumpf junta's failed peace plans which worked in the Kremlin's favor. Link: Ukraine Update

The chisel-chinned sycophant's screed revealed the nefarious Trumpf junta is moving toward a policy that recognizes zones of influence by the great powers and will ignore war crimes committed by Russia and Israel, as well as Chinese internal oppression of Uighurs, Tibetans, Falon Gong members, and Honk Kongese democracy advocates, while divvying up the world's natural resources, like oil or rare earths.

Putin Approves His Poodle's New Papers!

Shocking, eh?

Someone here has been saying that Vlad, Xi, and Donny Dog Breath have already divvied up the world with Europe going to Vlad. Don't remember who.

Of course, America would not now exist were it not for the French, but F them, we already saved their butts once, right?

I mean, who cares about honoring treaties these day anywho?

Time moves forward, conditions change. At least the US is brave enough to say so. I am surprised by the honesty.

The US saved them twice, as well as unloaded Vietnam from their plate.

French owe the US.

*** Dummkopf Trumpf Unleashes Tirade at Our Former Allies ***

"Dummkopf Trumpf denounced Europe as a "decaying" group of nations led by "weak" people, belittling the traditional US allies for failing to control migration and end the Russia-Ukraine war, and signaling that he would endorse white supremacist, pro-Kremlin political candidates in European elections.

The broadside attack represents the junta leader's most virulent denunciation to date of these Western democracies, threatening a decisive rupture with countries like France and Germany that already have deeply strained relations with the Trumpf junta.

The Dotard-in-Chief bleated he could extend anti-drug military operations to Mexico and Colombia.

Trumpf also urged good-for-nothing reactionary geriatric SCOTUS Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas to stay on the bench and keep collecting robust paychecks for themselves so they can continue running judicial interference on behalf of the ruling oligarchs and Trumpf's self-serving junta."

Maybe Republicans don't know what "having a vision" means, so that's why they're not concerned that Trump and Putin share the same vision for the United States.

I recommend reading The Manchurian Candidate (1959) by Richard Condon. He is an excellent wordsmith.

When John Frankenheimer directed the superb film version (1962), Americans saw karate on the big screen for the first time. (Judo and ju-jitsu had already been inserted into American films.)

The Manchurian Candidate was banned for several years following the assassination of JFK.

I have never considered invading Ukraine a good thing or a good idea.

Neonazis Are in Ukraine, having more influence than their numbers imply.

That said. Invading was just Idiotic.

Interfering in the Elections of Ukraine in 2014 had Consequences.

Russia is doing the same thing to Us that we did to them, Elections wise.

It doesn't feel Good does it?

Maybe we should stop interfering in other countries Elections?

Just a thought.

"AI Overview
The idea that Boris Yeltsin was an "American plant" or CIA agent is a conspiracy theory, often circulated by pro-Russian sources, suggesting he was controlled by the U.S. to destroy the Soviet Union; however, historical accounts show Yeltsin was a complex Russian politician who rose through the Communist Party, became disillusioned with it, and genuinely sought to reform Russia, though his actions deeply benefited U.S. interests by ending the Cold War."

After the Manchurian Candidate was released in 1962 and just weeks prior to JFK's assassination on 22 Nov 1963, the TV show Outer Limits aired "One Hundred Days of the Dragon," regarding a sinister foreign plot to take over the US from within which almost succeeds:The Outer Limits

62 years later, audacious fiction has become incontrovertible fact for the US.

You mean other than reconstructing the old Soviet Union which started with his invading Georgia and Crimea?

Right now he wants the rare earth minerals in Donbas... but he won't be satisfied until he's rebuilt the SU.

Plus, war on others keeps his population from rebelling against him.

Gorbachev was a genuine Reformer and a great human being. He really was a Russian Patriot trying to improve the nation in my opinion.

Yeltsin was a Drunk half senile poser.

The US interfered in the elections that brought Yeltsin to power.

He basically sold the State owned industries to Russian and Foreign "Investors", creating the Oligarchs that Putin later used to get elected and then stripped of any power over the State.

Many Oligarchs were imprisoned and their assets Confiscated.

Putin became a National Hero for doing that.

Unintended Consequences are a BITCH.

His excuse of 'Denazification' for invading Ukraine is just another lie.

Vladimir Putin launched his brutal invasion of Ukraine in order to recreate the glory and power of the former USSR with his satrap-oligarchs in charge of the satellite countries under a Pan-Slavic Union who will then pay billions in tribute to the Kremlin while ostensibly protecting Russian-speaking minorities in those countries. These satraps will exploit the resources for themselves and the Kremlin, like the rare earths in Ukraine.

As intolerable for the US to have nuclear weapons 90 miles from its shore in Cuba in 1962, having a powerful NATO country on its border was deemed intolerable by the Kremlin. Most of the invasions the Russian people suffered through arose from the West, not the East: the Teutonic Knights, Sweden, Napoleon, the Kaiser, Der Fuhrer. Russia and the USSR have wanted buffer zones between themselves and powerful Western countries.

Moreover, watching Ukraine not only join NATO through the Partnership for Peace (PFP) program but also the EU was deemed dangerous by the Kremlin. Under the EU, Ukrainians would prosper and enjoy civil liberties, raising envy and resentment with the poor people suffering under Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko in Belarus, which would have a destabilizing influence on their despotic regimes.
