House Speaker Mike Johnson is conveniently sending Congress home the day before the Justice Department is supposed to release the Epstein files in full.

This has the votes to pass with bipartisan support, but Johnson is going to adjourn the House again to delay it as long as possible just like he did with Epstein.

Obviously they are tired from taking away the health insurance for millions of Americans and doing nothing to fix any problems effecting the voters.

"Johnson is going to ... "

Aided and abetted by the Cowards Caucus, aka GOPer grovelers.

The Republican Party is not a national party devoted to all the people of America, just with a different vision than the Democrats, it is in fact a totally sold out congregation in the church of big money and the billionaire caste. Taking health care from the poor, housing from the poor, food from the poor, education from the poor, all in a day's work for the loyal gangsters.
A vote for trump from a poor person makes a lot of sense, if you understand that Trump's voters just hate the same people he does...for them the Civil War was never resolved...

That's a real profile in courage--no more ACA subsidies, running from the light of the Epstein Files, ignoring Der Dotard's war crimes. It will be a laff riot in Johnson's district when his constituents see their healthcare costs skyrocket while their sons start coming back from Venezuela in metal boxes. Shorty's explanation blaming Biden and the Dems of all of the world's woes will certainly go over well...

Have ever so many people done less work for more undeserved pay than Mike Johnson's crew of public trough snout-stuffers?

No politicians in office means no uncomfortable comments on Epstein to deal with. No pesky forced voting the administration would look bad on dealing with. Johnson is setting up his retirement to be sooner rather than later.

Sounds to me like there are a lot of Republican politicians yet to move into the retirement slots or looking for other offices. Sure not gonna be pretty at this rate come mid-term election season. Understand I have no better faith in the Dems doing the right things, they too are invested in keeping the rich happy in order to have campaign funds. We need a third party badly, if for nothing else than to try and upset the apple cart.

Johnson Sends House Home Ahead of Epstein Files Deadline

Who's there to receive the files if the House is not in session? Could this be Johnson's way of giving DOJ more time to redact? Or, is this his petty way of giving the finger to the people that signed the discharge petition?
