Congress must pass the Equal Representation Act

This bill requires that the statement sent by the President to Congress after the decennial census indicating the number of persons in each state exclude noncitizens. (This statement is the basis for reapportionment of U.S. Representatives.) The bill also requires any questionnaire used in the decennial census to include a checkbox or other similar option for respondents to indicate whether the respondent and each household member is (1) a U.S. citizen, (2) a U.S. national but not a citizen, (3) a non-U.S. national (alien under federal law) lawfully residing in the United States, or (4) a non-U.S. national unlawfully residing in the United States. The Department of Commerce must make public the number of persons in each state, disaggregated by each of these four categories

You want everyone counted in a census cause that's where they get the numbers to dole out money during national emergencies and the like. Legal illegal doesn't matter. You want them counted.

First non-citizens pay taxes

Second non-citizens use public services

Third non-citizens use infrastructure which is funded by population

Fourth, just because a person is not a citizen does not mean they are not here legally

Fifth, the Constitution says PERSON, not citizen

This is a racist attempt to unperson a vast number of people

Non citizens are then not factored in when House seats are apportioned. I don't see why anyone would have a problem with this.

If you want everyone counted you better not ask the citizenship question cause the undocumented will not get an accurate response to how many people are in your household out of fear. Besides they are constitutionally required to have representation.

Exactly when do they cease to be persons???

Section 2 of the 14th Amendment states "Representatives shall be apportioned among the several states according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each state."

Persons is used. Citizen is nowhere in that sentence.

Are you claiming non-citizens are not "Persons", according to the Constitution???

#36. I knew you'd say that. I don't mean that in a negative way because I don't think you come to that belief fr9m a bad place. For me, citizenship has privileges. If I were to be transferred to the UK for work for an indefinite period of time I would never presume to be allowed to vote in their elections nor would I expect to have my presence in any way be any kind of participant in their political processes.
