"They want to talk, and I have agreed to talk, so I will be talking to them. They should have done it sooner. They should have given what was very practical and easy to do sooner. They waited too long," Trump told The Atlantic's Michael Scherer in a phone call.

Iran agrees to new talks, Trump claims after day of strikes. "They want to talk, and I have agreed to talk, so I will be talking to them," Trump told the Atlantic on March 1. He did not say when the talks would take place, noting that some of the previous negotiation officials had been killed.

"Asked when the talks might take place, Trump said, "I can't tell you that."

He further said that "most" of the Iranians involved in negotiations with the US in recent weeks were no longer alive, "because that was a big " that was a big hit."

"They should have done it sooner, Michael. They could have made a deal. They should've done it sooner. They played too cute," Trump told the journalist."

One supposes that the 3 dead US Military persons, the however many dozens of schoolgirls, and all the other casualties are proud to have served as tools in a negotiating maneuver.

Certainly doesn't look like there's any Ceasefire going on for these 'Talks' DJT claims are going to happen.

Arab countries seem to be taking the brunt of Iran's anger.

- however many dozens of schoolgirls

Make that 165 deaths at the school, mostly children.

It may be Israel's missiles, but it doesn't happen without Trump's acquiescence and support.

Let me ask you; would you personally kill those children if you could get Regime Change for it in Iran?

Especially considering you most likely aren't really going to get anything much different than you had before?

Reminder it is illegal to assassinate another country's leader

What about kidnapping them and their spouse and selling their oil and pocketing the proceeds in a Qatari bank account?

Trump is beyond the Pale.

In his own mind, I believe, he Thinks he IS the Law.

The Institutions that were supposed to Protect the System from Corruption and Demagoguery have Failed Miserably.

Now we have the Middle East in Flames and no End in Sight.

For What?

For WHOM?

Why did Trump Attack Iran?

Who Benefits?

Or is Trump just a Weak Man Easily Led into Stupid ---- by a Clever Flatterer?

A Flatterer so Poltroonish he Fled to Germany when the SHTF.

Our "Leaders" are So Brave.

Khamenei didn't even alter his Routine when he KNEW Death was Coming in the form of Missiles.

Now Missiles are Destroying the ME.

What Has God Wrought?

Trump lies...that is all anyone has to know when they see a headline that somehow favors Trump. Iran has said there will be no negotiation with the US, and after that murderous attack I really doubt they will be lead to peace talks.

I am hopeful for the future of Iran under new leadership. May God help them if they allow women to vote.

Trumpy threatens to talk to them? They will surrender for sure!

When Trumpy threatens to talk to me I change the channel.

I "surrender" in about 2 minutes. No way I am able to tolerate listening to that moron for more than 2 minutes.

Wait. What happened to the conversations over the past few weeks, between the Iranians and Der Dotard's negotiation team, the Condo Salesman and the Little Wooden Boy? The US negotiation team spoke in terms of making money, and the Iranians spoke in terms of national sovereignty and the need to develop weapons to fend off Israel. Those conversations were doomed, because Trump sent the wrong people. Steve Witless may be a friend of Donald, but he is far out of his depth in diplomacy. As for J-Red, sending him (and his partner, another Jew) to talk to Iranian Muslims was so tone deaf as to be pathetic...

"Reminder it is illegal to assassinate another country's leader"

It's right there in the UN charter military action is only legal against wedding parties, women and children and the night cleaning staff of government buildings.

Hegseth, Trump leave door open for boots on the ground in Iran

thehill.com

Visitor is ALL IN for boots on the ground! (as long as they aren't his)

When are the Israeli Death Forces (IDF) going to put their boots on the ground in Iran?

They won't.

The IDF is too busy putting their boots on the throats of defenseless Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

So it'll be young American Servicemembers in harm's way in Iran, not Israelis.
