"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times.

Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

In his interview with The Atlantic, Kelly recalled that when Trump raised the idea of needing "German generals," Kelly would ask if he meant "Bismarck's generals," referring to Otto von Bismarck, the former chancellor of the German Reich who oversaw the unification of Germany.

"Surely you can't mean Hitler's generals," Kelly recalled asking Trump. To which the former president responded, "Yeah, yeah, Hitler's generals."

"JD Vance once feared Donald Trump might be "America's Hitler".

Last Saturday, the Ohio senator claimed Democrats calling Trump "an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs" caused the assassination attempt the former president survived."

That was until Peter Theil bought Shady outright and paid Trump to make him VP.

Only if they get their way. We made it through the Gilded Age. Teddy Roosevelt broke up the monopolies because the public was dissatisfied. We're in the same place, different era. I'm optimistic we'll come out of this. America has a history of taking two steps forward and one step back, but we eventually do end up better than before.

Clearly Obama is the worst person ever for daring to wear a tan suit.

Imagine had Obama done 1 percent of the callous, idiotic, vile things that Trump has done... he would have been hanged first, then Impeached.

Come on, let's for once and all admit that Trump ran a deliberate campaign to somehow ally those who live to hate and those who value the rule of the jungle over the rule of law. Brilliant in that it was successful, insane in that it could only lead to what is happening, American fascism being on the march in the halls of Congress, and that means you, Republican Party.
No country should feel superior to America, they either fought their own civil war against the end point of capitalism, fascism, or they will one day. It is the end point of most capitalist cultures that the very few rule the great many using intimidation, hate, propaganda, distracting foreign wars...in short, Trumpist fascism.

If the younger Republicans are bigots, it's because the older Republicans taught them to be.

It would appear that it's not a lot different on the left.

"From the river to the sea" is not exactly a call for inclusivity.

Especially when it's Israelis saying it.

They use the same slogan,it it any more "inclusive' coming from them?

The bigotry is, in fact, far less on the left, when compared to the right. Arguing against the farce that is Zionism isn't bigotry, but we must acknowledge that there is a rise in overall antisemitism that even has affected some on the left. Equivocating Israel with all Jews is antisemitism in and of itself. There are Jews who hate what Israel has done and is doing. And there are people that hate all Jews (look at Youtube comments on videos about WW2 history and the Third Reich, it's sickening)

There are Jews who hate what Israel has done and is doing.

Indeed! They need to speak louder and more frequently less they be marginalized like the Muslims that didn't speak out after 9/11.

"Especially when it's Israelis saying it. They use the same slogan, is it anymore "inclusive' coming from them?"

Nope.

Israel's long-term problem, once it has solved the "from the river to the sea" problem, is getting rid of the extremists within their own country. At the moment, they seem to revere the Haredim.

For those that want to occupy Palestine, I recommend they try and Occupy Palestine, TX. See how well that works out, given that the Haredi refuse military service and generally lack the balls for any sort of wetwork.

An authoritarian regime is what the GOP has been trying to build over the recent years.

Republicans struggling with bigotry among younger conservatives
www.yahoo.com

... Some Republicans have raised alarm bells at the growing number of young conservatives who have been influenced by far-right online personalities that espouse negative opinions of Jewish people, women, people of color and more.

Streamers and podcasters who have been accused of sharing such views, such as Nick Fuentes, Myron Gaines and others, have grown in popularity over the last few years " appealing to a younger bloc of conservatives disgruntled with traditional politics.

"We don't think Hitler is, like, the worst person ever," Alec Beaton, a 23-year-old former Trump campaign staffer, told the Washington Post at a national young conservatives conference. Beaton added that he praises Adolf Hitler to "mess with people."

Fuentes, a 27-year-old white nationalist with a Rumble platform of more than 600k, said during a recent stream that women "just lie and they're whores. Not all of them ... but it is a serious problem."

Gaines, a 36-year-old streamer, podcaster and author of a book titled Why Women Deserve Less, wrote on X in October, "Yeah we like Hitler. No one gives a f*** what you woke jews think anymore." ...

"From the river to the sea, Palestine must be free." Is an anti colonialism slogan.

"Jews will not replace us!" Is racism.

I understand your confusion.

You're an idiot.

I'm confused about this article.

Over the past decade republicans have done everything in their power to spread bigotry, racism, xenophobia and hate.

The author is concerned their efforts are coming to fruition?

I'm not sure the author of the article truly understands modern day conservative.

They're hate wrapped in ignorance.
