RIP sir.

Thank you for being a role model for Homosexuals to accept who we are and not be afraid or ashamed to be open about it.

I think Barney Frank's most famous statement was, upon being told that LGB sounds like a sandwich, that "Sometimes it is."

Effective congressman for his district, which is most important.

I lived in his district but was only a kid and not aware of politics... Looking back even then I do recall the battles over districting, gerrymandering, etc... I always thought it was weird that the parts that made his district weren't even connected, and being an adult now realizing just how disparate the make up of the citizens in those geo-areas are/were. Seems like some issues just keep repeating themselves.

I don't fault him, he played the game as the cards were dealt and as said above was an effective rep.

But you're all for denying black citizens the vote. Got it.

KWRX claims as a kid he was very interested in gerrymandering and congressional districts and I wonder who he thinks believes his bullshht.

His every post reeks of political ignorance.

But as a kid, he followed gerrymandering with a passion.

Thanks for your anecdote.

It's hilarious.

Rest in Peace, to a good and honorable man.

I was proud to be able to share one of your last poignant messages with my fellow denizens here on the Drudge:

Barney Frank embarks on a final act: Taking on the left

The former Massachusetts lawmaker says progressives in his party have "embraced an agenda that goes beyond what's politically acceptable."

Your memory and legacy live on, Congressman Frank!

#9 Jesus Christ you're a --------... My post was clearly written from the perspective of looking back knowing more, but remembering that at the time there was a lot of talk about his district not being a continuous area but a collection of differing areas of the state. I didn't really know what it meant at the time, but it all came back to me with his passing and all the happening in CA,TX, and VA as of late.

And I said kid, not toddler. I was old enough to have clear memories of it and was probably in middle school. That's old enough to get the gist but not care about the details.

You call my points/positions political ignorance, I call it not being blinded by party loyalty.
