Republicans in Texas are more concerned about Sharia Law -- from Muslims who are 1.43% of the US population -- is taking over the country.

Never mind screwworm, environmental problems, or gun control. In an average year, 4,471 people die and 7,726 are wounded by firearms in Texas.

These are wartime casualty amounts.

In 1965 Vietnam, 1,928 US servicemembers were KIA in combat.

The Lone Star State sees twice as many gun-related fatalities in a year than a combat zone.
