NOBLES: Just give me one example of where there was some level of fraud that the SAVE America Act would've prevented that would've altered an election ROGER MARSHALL: Yeah Ryan, I guess we just look at this differently

More from the article ...

... On Tuesday, the House voted 224-198, with 14 Republicans voting with Democrats, against a measure setting up further votes this week, Politico reported. Some House Republicans were also absent.

The vote froze matters including the annual Pentagon policy bill and annual appropriations bills before a recess planned for the holiday. By later Tuesday, Johnson conceded that he could not regain control and sent House members home. The House is not expected to return until mid-July.

Johnson and others have said that neither the House nor the Senate has the votes to pass the SAVE America Act in its current form. The controversial bill would require voters to prove their citizenship before they register to vote, and critics say the controversial act could disenfranchise millions of Americans. ...

Let's not lose sight of the fact these folks aren't upset because the bill is too crazy. They're upset it because it's NOT CRAZY ENOUGH.

They want to pass a bill to outlaw something they can't find, and have never claimed inside a courtroom ...

... because, of course, the latter (fraud) requires PROOF.

Bingo!

The bill is an attempt by Pres trump to place control of elections in his bailiwick. Nothing more, nothing less.

So, the GOP in the House, led by Spkr Johnson, instead of saying somethin' that Pres Trump might not like, they put their tail between their legs and ran out of Washington, D.C.

They want to pass a bill to outlaw something they can't find,

They want to pass a law to throw up "legal" barriers to people trying to vote.

They know there's no fraud. It's just the pretext to suppress votes from people they don't want to vote.

Looking down the list now ...
Control the Executive branch of the US government? Check.
Control a radical Supreme Court at the tippity-top of the Judicial arm? Bigly checked.
Control half the Legislative branch? Check.
Oh, wait a sec, almost forgot ... and control the other half of the Legislative branch? Check.
And yet they remain feckless, fearful, and flucked.
Whiney, dangerous and totally pathetic.
Just send the perpetually vacationing GOPs in Congress their money for nothin' and anything else loose lying around.
Happy 250thl

For the most part, today's Republican Party is a danger to our Constitutional Republic, because they are smart enough to know that we have a sort of Al Capone now in the White House and almost no Republican has the spine to fight for us, non MAGA folk and protect our rights.
