"Every day, the brave men and women of ICE work tirelessly to arrest and remove dangerous illegal aliens from our country," DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said in a statement. "Just last week, we deported killers, drunk drivers, sexual assailants, and weapons traffickers. With deportations up, it's no wonder that crime rates have fallen to historic lows across the country. Thanks to the leadership of President Donald J. Trump, we are making America safe again."

"ICE deports illegals convicted of murder, DUI, sex crimes"

People convicted of those crimes should already be in jail.

So ICE is making our jails safer, I guess?

Whatever happened to the idea that keeping murderers in jail is better than kicking murderers out of jail...

Or are you saying that ICE is deporting people who have already paid their debt to society through incarceration?

If that's making us safer, then citizens with a criminal record should get deported too, making us even safer still!

Just 3% of recent ICE detainees had a violent felony conviction, government data shows (June 2026)
abcnews.com

... Only 3% of individuals detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during the first 14 months of the second Trump administration had a violent felony conviction, according to an ABC News analysis of government data.

The findings, based on data tracking the current Trump administration's immigration crackdown, come after President Donald Trump had pledged to target the "worst of the worst" criminal offenders among the nation's migrants.

Based on government data analyzed by ABC News as provided by ICE in response to a FOIA requests to the Deportation Data Project and the University of Washington Center for Human Rights, the findings show that immigration enforcement has affected more than 400,000 individuals with no violent criminal history, including parents and spouses of U.S. citizens. ...

-People convicted of those crimes should already be in jail.

Most of them are probably in jail serving sentences at the taxpayer's expense. Unless it's like the pedophile Tim Walz pardoned and tried to release back into society when he got wind that ICE was coming for the pedo.

DHS documents show widespread spying on anti-ICE protesters, unions
www.upi.com

... Department of Homeland Security investigators took part in a wide-ranging probe of progressive groups and labor unions as part of a crackdown on dissent during Operation Metro Surge in Minnesota, according to court filings.

Documents filed in Minneapolis on Thursday by lawyers defending 15 Minnesotans against federal conspiracy charges showed DHS agents secretly obtained financial records from labor unions and recorded meetings of social justice groups at private buildings, public parks and churches as they organized against the large-scale Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency crackdown in the Twin Cities earlier this year.

The documents also showed that DHS agents collected the license plate numbers of people attending an anti-ICE meeting at a suburban church in order to obtain the names of those inside, then produced dossiers on the attendees including their names, photos, addresses, vehicle registrations, family and employment information. ...

I read your article. I see why you left this part out in your C&P above:

"The filings were made as part of the conspiracy case against the "Minnesota 15," in which federal prosecutors in June charged 15 anti-ICE protesters identified as members of a loosely organized coalition called Direct Action MN with being "antifa" domestic terrorists who illegally sought to impede ICE during Operation Metro Surge."

Nothing dangerous in that statement, right Republicans?

That's what the left calls tampering with a federal investigation.

And I bet you believe every stinkin lie in those two sentences.

Obama has deported more than any other president in 30 years.

Crime was already falling.

And Trumpy is making Americans less safe in the world . He can't even fly in his own plane out of fear of being assassinated.
