NO American president has EVER suggested something like this

If this is a "joke" - according to some Republican politicians - what's the joke?!

I think that the man is looking for an excuse to nuke Iran. Even a dirty bomb explosion might do it for him. Iran does not need to be involved with it at all.

His Brain is Mush.

He's lost any Semblance of Sanity.

If a Democratic President had said anything like this what would the Congress Say?

The Republicans are Backing a Dangerous Fool.

Trump is Weakening America.

The Republican Party is Complicit.

Time for Americans to exercise their 2nd amendment rights.

Trump hates America and does nothing but spread hate and division.

I suggest Iran "take out" the president.

"Iran can never have a nuke."

"We stopped Iran from having a nuke."

"Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego. So what?"

The President of the United States.

Apparently Iran has more respect for the general welfare of ordinary Americans than Trump does.

Really where were you in 2021 through 2024?

The report, which encompasses Fiscal Years 2021 through 2024, reveals that under Joe Biden, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) received 3,145,375 leads about possible alien overstays. Of that amount, 104,049 (approximately 3.3%) were categorized as potential national security and public safety concerns.

But of the leads for possible national security threats, only 496 investigations were launched, resulting in the arrest of just eight aliens. The remaining 3,041,326 overstay leads (96.7%) were determined to be "Non-Priority." Of the 2,837,188 Non-Priority leads that were sent to ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), only five leads were investigated after being determined to be possible public safety threats, and with only two arrests being made.

"The degree of the Biden Administration's dereliction of duty, which needlessly put American lives at risk, is staggering and enraging," said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. "As if the wide-open borders weren't enough, a new OIG report reveals that the Biden-era ICE failed to act on more than 3 million leads about possible alien overstays, with more than 100,000 of these being labeled as potential national security threats. Unlike the Biden Administration, the Trump Administration will always put the safety of the American people first. We will target and remove as many illegal aliens as possible to make America safe again."

The irony of the complaining about Trump, is that should a terrorist actually implement a planned attack to destroy LA or San Diego, or any other city in the US.

He/She/They would have been let into the country under Biden.

Imagine if Biden or Obama did this.

The media would have hounded them out of office.

"So it would be completely unsurprising to me if that is what Donald Trump meant.
I've just come to expect these kind of vile comments from him because he's done this over and over and over again down through the years.

The bigger takeaway to me is how so many in the crowd cheered when he said this.

Even if that's not exactly what he meant, they took it that it would be fine if those two cities were destroyed because it would be a small price to pay.

What that demonstrates in my opinion is how far Trump's vileness has infected other people.

And these are probably the same people who would consider themselves Christian, who would quote a Bible verse to you. And yet they cheer at the prospect of two deep blue cities possibly being destroyed.

That is my takeaway. Donald Trump's vileness is contagious."

ONEIRONY

First of all, this thread is about an American president inviting a sworn enemy to attack us.

In reply to your laughable post:

SWING AND A MISS!! Once the pandemic was manageable, Biden deported more undocumented immigrants than Trump has. So did Obama. But you choose to believe a well known liar over facts.

In Fiscal Year 2024, the Biden administration deported or returned approximately 700,000+ individuals total (with ICE removals reaching over 329,000 to more than 370,000+ depending on the exact metric), marking some of the highest annual removal numbers in over a decade due to a massive surge in post-pandemic border crossings.

During his first term (2017"2021), Donald Trump averaged roughly 300,000 to 347,000 formal ICE removals per year (with a peak around 347,000 in 2019), totaling fewer total removals across his four years than some single peak years under Barack Obama or high-migration years under Biden.

Do the math. Trump, for all his bluster and BS doesn't beat Obama or Biden's annual numbers.

WH trying to defend the indefensible:

White House defends Trump comment to let Iran 'take out' LA and San Diego

Donald Trump's remark that Iran could "take out" Los Angeles and San Diego has sparked fierce backlash from California politicians - and a strongly worded rebuttal from the White House.

California Governor Gavin Newsom condemned the comment - made by Trump at a campaign rally in Nebraska - as "deranged and dangerous," while LA Mayor Karen Bass described them as threats and an attempt to "encourage attacks on American lives".

According to the White House, however, Trump was saying that American cities would have been threatened by Iran had he not launched a war there earlier this year.

www.bbc.comHmmm. Trump told the world we'd utterly destroyed Iran's nuclear capabilities long before he started his war of choice.

The lies just keep on a coming. No matter how many times they are debunked. There is a definite method to the madness.

My thought is that it's just an attempt at using propaganda. Agitprop. The more the better. The more lies you can throw out there the more chaos and confusion you can sow.

You know ... a firehouse of lies and deception designed to confuse and overwhelm the public's attention span and short circuit any attempts at critical thinking.

And it seems to have worked. At least once or twice.
