"Outgoing Texas Sen. John Cornyn (R) on Wednesday said he doubted Trump had no hand in the slowdown, as he doesn't believe Musk "would do this without at least the acquiescence of the White House."
"I think it's frankly shameful," Cornyn said on CNBC's "Squawk Box." "I think we should be supporting the victim, not the aggressor."

So this confirms that Elon Musk has direct control over Ukraine's national defense systems.
I'll ask again. Why would any sovereign nation ever enter into a deal with Elon Musk, knowing this is how he conducts business?
I'll answer again. Elon must have done the math and figures the fascists are going to win the economy game, so it doesn't matter if a few tiny countries don't play along.
Winning that game is why Witkoff and Putin are "negotiating" the future of Ukraine in Moscow, right now.

Did Elon know that what he did would kill people?
He's a bright young man. Of course he did.
An individual, such as Musk, who wages war against a State, Ukraine, is a terrorist.
The Ukrainians, and everyone else, have the right to drone him.

Ukraine's future probably shouldn't be decided by the ketamine induced whims of a little rich boy.

"Control of Starlink must, one way or another, be taken away from Elon Musk," Krugman wrote in a Substack post. "It's a matter of national security: we cannot let private individuals make foreign and defense policy, and it would be totally irresponsible to leave a crucial military asset in the hands of a racist, authoritarian conspiracy theorist."
Krugman.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it's my understand that although Musk may own Starlink, it's under contract to the U.S. Government (Pentagon). So Mush alone would not be authorized to shut down Starlink without the order coming straight from the Commander in Chief, Donald Trump. (who gets his marching orders from Mr. Putin.
Bluntly put, it's crystal clear to the average sleuth that the Starlink shutdown was a direct response to Ukraine's attack on a Russian diesel fuel production facility which (connect the dots) is putting a crimp in Trump's new diesel fuel delivery contract with Russia.
The morning news has just announced that Starlink to Ukraine has been fully restored. But does that negate the possibility that the unholy duo of Putin and Trump did commit a war crime?
Just asking.

I find it impossible to make a comment since I understand that no one is in charge, no one in my government is listening, caring, what we at the lower end of the economic pyramid think or need. If someone greases the Trump's gang's palms, stuff gets done, satellites get turned on or off, and our King Musk is doing what he can to make sure the fascists both in America and in Russia prevail. Ok, maybe that was a comment after all. Hard to be optimistic when one's government is led by a fascist in league with your country's worst enemy.

Except, in this case, nobody seems to be "greasing palms" for Trump's order to the Pentagon. Musk and Trump are joined at the hip vis-a-vie Trump and Putin.
Trump appears to be collaborating with America's once known enemy to commit a crime against humanity.

Do you think someone like Musk wouldn't have set up a DMS in the event something like that were to happen?

A dead man switch?
If the man keeps killing Ukrainian kids, I think they will risk it.

I really think that you've advanced another reason why it might be better to have Musk dead.

Musk is what Americans used to call an Enemy Combatant.
If I recall the old neocon position on those, Elon is entitled to nothing.
Nothing.

Ukraine says it regained full use of Starlink, after more than a week of disruption www.cbsnews.com
... Ukraine's military has regained full use of Starlink satellite links for its drones and other fast-moving equipment, the defense minister said Saturday, ending speed restrictions that Ukrainian officials said had disrupted front-line operations for more than a week. The Defense Ministry's monitoring systems in Ukraine reported stable connections on objects traveling faster than 250 mph, Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara told reporters. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday that checks were conducted and it was determined Starlink and Starshield were running at the correct speed. "Now the speed is what we need," Zelenskyy said. "The restoration began last night, and in the morning there were already speeds sufficient to use this connection. This is very important." "This is significant for our front-line logistics, for protecting Ukraine from reactive 'Shaheds,'" he continued, referring to the Iranian-made drones regularly launched by Russia. ...
