It looks like the end of the road for the Cybertruck.

While Tesla doesn't break out individual Cybertruck sales figures, even the highest analyst estimates place the total number of deliveries at roughly 70,000 since its launch in 2023 -- significantly below the 250,000 that Musk once predicted would be sold annually.

It looked like Musk was trying to build a "stealth" vehicle to avoid radar traps.

It was an ugly embarrassment. Pffft

In terms of sales, Cybertruck's are worse than the Edsel's (www.jalopnik.com) - which now happily relinquishes its status as an automotive industry punchline to Elon's folly.

They're going to shut down production next year.

These things don't even have a trade-in value. No dealer wants one on their lot. Get real!

Maybe there's a museum somewhere for the ultimate in commercial flops and bad ideas?

I wish more cars would be designed to defeat pig radar.

But that's not what the Cyberdumpster is, that big near-vertical front surface is the opposite of stealth.

Going the way of the drug-induced DeLorean... up the creator's nose.

I must admit that I probably would have agreed with you when I was younger but today, here in South Florida; the land of super-rich punks driving exotic sports cars at 120+ mph on I-95; I rather appreciate the police catching them and actually carting their spoiled asses off to jail, which at a certain number of mph above the speed is the law because those punks are a real threat to everyone else on the road. Fines don't bother people that rich; jail is the only thing they can understand and, if the car is registered to their parents then they should go too!

#10 Not enough N/W flags available for this excellent post.

Thank you, danni!

I've only seen a dozen or so of them in my part of the world. None of them ever doing any kind of truck stuff.

To be fair, there are a lot of F-350s here that also never do any truck stuff.

I still see a couple in my neighborhood. We call them Jew Canoes because they're driven by parents dropping their kids off at a private Jewish school.

At one time I think these cars were supposed to be some kind of a status symbol.
