The States are usually in charge with verification of recipients/beneficiaries. The funds just come from the Federal Gov, and the vendors are checked out.

Why ? If the government is going to make it possible to just cross the border illegally and then (via asylum application/work auth) be able to legally work, why shouldn't corporations hire them?

Regardless of the validity of the asylum claim they can get work authorization before their appearance. On top of that even if denied asylum, the corporation after hiring doesn't have the legal authority to ask again about your work status. So the worker may continue working, though not legally, but as I have stated laws not being enforced is more important than laws on the books.

So when exactly is the corporation supposed to do something?

What has been proven is that you don't need to follow the Law.

Not according to immigration laws that SCOTUS support. People who cross the border illegally within a certain distance of the border may be detained, and then returned, without a trial, or "proven" guilt.

Immigration courts operate this way to, there is some due process,, but its not about guilt or innocence, its about removal or not, not punishment.

If within certain immigration court process, detention is allowed until your case is heard. ie no bail.

They are innocent until proven guilty, at least if you have American values.

Not guilty, just not allowed to stay, this isn't criminal or civil court, its immigration court.

I have a friend that works in city government, he has all sorts of rules and regulations he has to conform with to publish information about the governments internal discussions for people requesting information.

I find the Flock system fascinating from this government perspective. How in the world did a company not think of this, just give the data to the governments without any authorizations/authentications or audit trail. Delete all the data 30days.

I don't blame Flock, I blame the governments doing this. I see no reason a local neighborhood shouldn't be allowed to install Flock for IDing thieves, where the local police need to request the info from the neighborhood watch. I also understand the advantage of a networked system that Flock created, this is hardly outrageous, its just good use of technology.

I don't see why Florida removed it, just make laws and regulations to limit access.

How can you be for single payer healthcare and against Flock? The same rules and laws apply to accessing the data. For instance Medicare data isn't private if there is an investigation, same with Flock data ..... meaning neither one needs a warrant.

But its just so difficult to understand why access is so poorly controlled, its mind boggling really.

It's more difficult for a government to get access to all my phone location data, than to access it via Flock.
