Democrats are up in arms after a so-called polling firm that projected far-left candidates as strong contenders in several primaries admitted that it had fabricated its polling data. Wedgewood Polling, which billed itself as an election survey company, released a statement Tuesday night admitting it used "fabricated numbers" for an "experimental project to demonstrate the vulnerabilities, lack of oversight, and overall low barrier to entry in the modern political polling industry." The group's polls were cited by Abdul El-Sayed's campaign amid a high-profile primary race against Michigan state Sen. Mallory McMorrow and U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens, D-Mich. The nonpartisan polling aggregator Political Polls also cited Wedgewood in the Wisconsin gubernatorial race, showing socialist Francesca Hong having an edge over Republican candidate Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wis.
The US State Department is preparing to issue an ordered departure of some personnel and family members from US embassies across the Gulf region, three US officials said on Wednesday. The move was due to a possible resumption of hostilities, particularly with Iran-aligned Houthi militia in Yemen, two of the US officials said.
President Donald Trump's approval rating has hit a record low. Democratic enthusiasm levels are off the charts. The party holds a clear edge on the generic congressional ballot question. By most measures, the polls point to something like a blue wave this November. The question, for many, is whether they can be trusted.
President Trump on Tuesday again complimented the backside of Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio), something he has done multiple times on the campaign trail as the midterms near. "I looked at his a, and then I looked at his legs, and my " I said, His a is like, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs, and I said, Man, his feet are big,'" Trump said during a rally in North Carolina, talking about Husted, who is locked in a tight race with former Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio). Trump's approval numbers are at record lows as voters are angry about the war in Iran and the resulting rise in gas prices and overall inflation. Corruption in government is also a top concern down the midterm homestretch.
A Venezuelan billionaire secured a pardon from President Donald Trump after his family gave Trump's former attorney at least $50 million, The New York Times reported on Tuesday night. Julio Herrera Velutini, a Venezuelan-Italian businessman, struck a lenient plea agreement in August 2025 after being accused of attempting to bribe the governor of Puerto Rico in 2022. Herrera ended up pleading guilty to one misdemeanor campaign finance violation. Early this year, Trump pardoned him altogether shortly after Herrera's family arranged for Habba to join a law firm that was registered in 2025. The Times said Herrera deployed his attorney, Christopher Kise, who was previously Trump's personal lawyer, to help lobby for the pardon. Herrera's daughter, a U.S. citizen, had given $3.5 million to a Trump-connected super PAC.

Trump is setting in motion a series of events to invalidate and coerce the outcome of the midterms. If he succeeds, the iron doors of fascism will slam shut.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Dulce Foster said Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud,18, won't be released because he's a risk to the community and a flight risk, the Associated Press reported. He was arrested on Oct. 6 in a public park following the purchase.

In the southeastern city of Lyon, a tourist office building was burned. Some storefronts along the shopping streets near Bordeaux's city hall were destroyed, and the goods inside appear to have been stolen, social media videos geolocated by NBC News showed. City halls in Marseille, Lille, and Angers were broken into, Interior Minister Laurent Nuez said Sunday, adding the arrests made had little to do with the student protests. Authorities had "lost control" in major cities, the interior minister conceded. He offered his resignation to Macron, who rejected it. Read more
After seeing Michael Dell's wife Susan in the White House recently, I started wondering how far robotic technology may have come. This story is about a $150,000 dollar robot from AION. But who knows about the robots we aren't seeing. Imagine the robot a billionaire tech oligarch may already own. ..Or do we have to imagine anymore?...
And if not, what happened to the real Susan?
A group of men, calling themselves the SB244 Compliance Crew, have organized to protest a new Kansas law that requires people to use public restrooms that align with the biological sex they were assigned at birth. The group reports encountering women who have quickly fled bathrooms upon seeing them, angry confrontations, complaints to facility staff and calls to law enforcement who are powerless to stop them because the men are following the law.
Is a miracle in the cards?
Russia has deliberately attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure and oil and gas sector 76 times in the week since US President Donald Trump announced an energy truce. Over the past week, the Russians launched nearly 2,700 attack drones, 1,700 guided aerial bombs and 66 missiles against Ukraine, most of them ballistic. Energy infrastructure was the main target of these attacks. The president said Russia is trying to plunge Ukraine into a blackout.
After the mentally ill flatulent orange baboon leaves the White House on 20 Jan 2028, the next non-AIPAC presidential administration will still have to deal with malevolent Israel, a mountain of corpses in Gaza, nefarious Russia, the Trumpf Crime Family (TCF), an army of well-armed ICE thugs, Proud Boys and Oafkeepers, pardoned Jan 6 runamoks, an ascending super-wealthy China, the thoroughly corrupt SCOTUS, GOP Senators, a dilapidated FBI, AI surveillance super centers, environmental disasters, tattered international relationships, and powerful malicious oligarchs. And who knows how much work will be required to restore America's destroyed public health care and aviation safety systems, as well as our demoralized military. Still, one can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good; thus, the people of the world eagerly anticipate 20 Jan 2028 just like they awaited the 20 July 1969 Apollo XIII lunar landing. Nothing can stop the countdown.
