This is a real picture and not a fake.

Now Trump has always insisted that he hires the very best people. But the avalanche of weird things on Vance suggests one of two things.

Either the brilliant businessman and leader who always hires the best people is losing his touch due to cognitive decline. Or he is and always was a lying sack of ----.

I can't even fathom a third explanation, though rest assured, the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society and the RNC and the Kremlin are all working overtime to come up with that 3rd explanation.

It's a real photo, but the context is obvious if one paid any attention to pro wrestling. The guy on Vance's left is dressed as Macho Man Randy Savage. The one on his right is dressed as Sting. The one on the far left appears to be cosplaying Hacksaw Jim Duggan or maybe Mike Rotunda who played a character who wore suspenders, and the one on his left is Scott Hall/Razor Ramon.

Vance is wearing that T-shirt to cosplay a "Soviet" wrestler of that era though I can't see a resemblance to any that I remember, but probably Nikolai Volkoff.

This is a really dumb thing to make a fuss over, trust me.

In college I had a "Workers of the World, Unite" T-shirt with the Soviet Hammer and Sickle on it.

Had an Aeroflot T-shirt that was an H & S with wings.

I have a DDR flag hanging in my office. I liked it, but I was a little concerned I might offend some of my German friends who experienced socialist Germany.

I still have a Black Diamond (a US-based sporting goods company) shirt with the Aeroflot symbol on it. I don't wear it much because I don't want to get my ass kicked by people who misinterpret the shirt.
