The old boy has really slipped whatever was left of his moorings. Guess nobody in that dysfunctional family is either capable of or interested in organizing an intervention to save him further embarrassment. From the article:

George Conway ... tweeted a question to Trump's campaign staff and his children: "Are you guys gonna get this guy the help he so obviously needs, or are you all just there to cash his checks?"

Conway recently launched a new political action committee, the Anti-Psychopath PAC, which he says will "highlight the existential threat Donald Trump poses to democracy and remind voters of the former president's mental unfitness for office."

Rick Wilson, founder of the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump political organization, tried to explain the Trump post: "I promise you, Trump is watching this rally and throwing --- against the wall, absolutely losing his [bleeping] mind," Wilson tweeted. "He hates how good she's getting. He hates that the audience that looks like America instead of a convention of inbred catalytic-converter thieves."

After his disastrous week last week, where he repeatedly embarrassed himself, his campaign has taken him off the trail. His campaign knows."

Trump won't voluntarily step away from the campaign. Without it, he's nothing. Just a fat old loon hanging out with a bunch of other self-congratulatory fat old bores in Palm Beach - about as claustrophobically retro a place as it gets. No, he'd have to have someone coax him into the rubber room or actually drop a net on him while he's meandering along in search of his next Big Mac. And nobody around him has the stones for that. Remember, they're just leetle posies; he's the beeg poosie.
