Daily show guest explains why harris lost

DEI programs are unpopular. This isnt a conservative speaker.

DEI

Call it what it is, Democrats left the commoners behind. And it didn't start with Harris.

Nope! She lost because she's a black woman, America is still
A very racist country. Just being one of those 2 things she'd likely have won, being both is a bridge too far for the low IQ idiot's in this country.

Inflation is global but Dems were holding the bag.

As for the other two, yeah, Dems have a big coalition and are afraid of setting anyone off (e.g., see the pro-Hamas voters in Michigan who moronically voted for Trump because Dems didn't embrace terrorist monsters hard enough).

Dems left commoners behind? Maybe, but it's not like Repubs have been doing a better job on that front, although Trump talks the talk.

DEI programs are unpopular.

Due largely to republican propaganda.

FF!

Republican plans for Main Street are to burn it to the ground.

But it's Democrats who are leaving commoners behind.

Thanks for proving you haven't a clue what DEI was trying to accomplish.

A very racist country that elected Obama twice?

A sexist country where Hillary got the most votes?

Or are those both easy excuses since they fit narratives?

"Thanks for proving you haven't a clue what DEI was trying to accomplish."

I think they know exactly what DEI programs were trying to accomplish.

And it's something they (maga maroons) wish to prevent.

And they may have just succeeded in setting back any progress we have made 10-20 years.

... DEI programs are unpopular. ...

I would not go as far as saying "unpopular."

But DEI programs do not seem to solve the immediate issues at the forefront of voters' decision making process.

Add in that the far-right seems to have tainted DEI with similar baggage it did with "woke."

Walmart, the nation's largest private employer, rolls back DEI under pressure
www.usatoday.com

... Walmart, the nation's largest private employer, is the latest company to make changes to its diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives under pressure from a conservative activist.

The retail giant said it would not renew a racial equity center it created following the 2020 murder of George Floyd and it would no longer participate in an annual benchmark index from LGBTQ+ advocacy group the Human Rights Campaign.

Robby Starbuck said he warned Walmart last week he was working on a report about "wokeness." According to Starbuck, the company then engaged in "productive conversations" to make changes.

"Removing wokeness from Walmart has both downstream effects on suppliers and it sets the tone for corporate America," Starbuck told USA TODAY. "Changing the normal operating policy at a nearly $1 trillion company is a gargantuan feat that many have tried to achieve but no one until now has actually been able to get done."

Walmart also committed to monitoring third-party items in the Walmart marketplace for "inappropriate sexual and/or transgender products marketed to children;" reviewing all Pride funding; and no longer using the term LatinX in official communications, Starbuck said. ...

@#11 ... Robby Starbuck ...

Interesting fellow...

Robby Starbuck
en.wikipedia.org

... Career

Starbuck directed music videos and commercials in California before moving to Williamson County, Tennessee in 2019.[1] He transitioned to investing in real estate and the stock market.[1]

Starbuck said he had received pushback from being a Republican in Hollywood and began posting about his beliefs on social media in 2015.[1] During the COVID-19 pandemic, he campaigned against mask and vaccine mandates.[4][5] In 2021, Starbuck declared his candidacy for the Republican nomination to represent Tennessee's 5th congressional district.[6] The state Republican party removed him from the 2022 primary ballot, and this decision was ultimately upheld by the Tennessee Supreme Court.[6] Starbuck instead ran as a write-in candidate, but did not get the nomination.[1]

In June 2023, a photo agency issued a legal threat to Starbuck after he used a copyrighted paparazzi photo of Megan Fox and her family in a social media post accusing the actress of "child abuse" for having "forced" her children to "wear girls clothes".[7] Fox responded to Starbuck's post, saying "Exploiting my child's gender identity to gain attention in your political campaign has put you on the wrong side of the universe."[7]
Anti-DEI activism

In June 2024, Starbuck began campaigning on social media against companies unpopular with conservatives because of their DEI initiatives, support for LGBTQ+ events, climate change strategies, and other social policies.[4] ...

"Link?

Nice LimpLighter impression you got there.

Mulvaney was pretty unpopular even among many LGBT+ people, especially in light of those obnoxious videos like "normalize the bulge" and the near-misogynist parodies of how Dylan thinks a woman acts.

I said at the time it was a huge mistake for the Biden/Harris admin to invite someone like that to the White House as a "representative" of so-called trans people.

Was it worth it?

Then I guess it's unfortunate that the Dem candidate was a DEI hire, and that Biden and his enablers prevented Dems from going through the normal nomination process by hiding his mental decline until it was too late.

The DEI Hire' Trap: How Biden Turned His VP Pick Into Fodder For Critics
When Joe Biden announced he'd pick a woman of color as his running mate, he thought he was being progressive. Instead, he walked right into a DEI trap, gift-wrapping ammunition for every critic ready to dismiss Kamala Harris as a "diversity hire."

"When Joe Biden announced he'd pick a woman of color as his running mate, he thought he was being progressive."

He was actually being shrewd in the short term, just like when Obama picked Mrs. Clinton for SecOState. Harris could have shown herself more than just that and earned people's votes like she said she was going to, but she failed to do that. That's on her, not Biden.

#42 | Posted by sentinel at 2024-11-27 08:01 AM

He was actually being shrewd in the short term
Biden could have picked a Black woman without loudly proclaiming to the world that it was a pre-req.

just like when Obama picked Mrs. Clinton for SecOState.
Obama announced Hillary after the election. And he didn't say "I'm gonna pick me a White woman who has bad taste in clothing as SOS."

Harris could have shown herself more than just that and earned people's votes like she said she was going to, but she failed to do that. That's on her, not Biden.

Harris never really had a shot at the presidency, IMHO, between her sex, childlessness, color, and inflation/illegal immigrants. Would have been a legit landslide for Repubs if she had been going up against anyone other than Orange Adolf.

"Biden could have picked a Black woman without loudly proclaiming to the world that it was a pre-req."

Agreed, that was dumb. Sadly, politics has always been a contest between dumb and dumber.

"Harris never really had a shot at the presidency, IMHO"

Biden seemed to think so too.

"between her sex, childlessness, color, and inflation/illegal immigrants"

She could have overcome all of those things and connected with more voters, but she failed.

My local Costco. Turkeys were .99 a lb.

You could trim costs on most of those items (except the turkey) by shopping around. I just did a quick online check.
