Breakfast joints like Waffle House are the latest victims of soaring egg prices, in effect since President Donald Trump entered the White House.
Waffle House is now charging 50 extra cents per egg as prices spike under Trump.

@#3 ... When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One ...
... and end the Ukraine war on day one.
... and close the border
... and, well ...

"The bird flu has resulted in many birds dying or having to be euthanized. What has that got to do with Trump? It's the same with gas prices, they are affected by the weather, refinery maintenance and several other factors. It's easy to blame Trump, even though he cannot control what the prices are. Does anyone think he wouldn't do it if he could?

Millions of folks (including then VP Kamala Harris) understood the root causes of high egg prices, so they were not fooled by then former President Trump's claims to immediately lower the egg prices on Day One. What you're observing now is not honest questioning of why the egg prices are not lower. Rather, it is the mocking of those who were fooled by such claims. I suspect there'll be more well-deserved mocking in the future. Before you give President Trump a "pass" due to his ignorance and if you believe the current egg price situation is a result of the bird flu virus, please explain President Trump's promotion of Robert Kennedy for Health Secretary. At some point, one should realize this situation is due to (at best) willful ignorance.
BTW, a President is not completely powerless to affect the world market price of petroleum. For example, then President Biden released some of the SPR (Strategic Petroleum Reserve) to help offset the higher world market petroleum prices. Subsequently, when prices were lower, he replaced some of the SPR for a net benefit to the USA:

OTOH, then President Trump directly/intentionally used his position to raise the world market price of petroleum:
