Trump Dodges Questions on High Prices

Donald Trump did not offer any concrete policy proposals or timeline on his campaign promise to immediately halt inflation and bring down the price of "everything" during his latest Fox News interview.

Klobuchar: "Corruption is up. You know what else is up? Egg prices. Because as much as Donald Trump promised to bring prices down and costs down for Americans, another day goes by where there is no work on bringing healthcare costs down, no work on bringing housing costs down ... "

Anyone who thought a billionaire was going to lower prices is a special kind of stupid.

There will never be a good time for Donald to address high prices.

He's too lazy, stupid, and immature to even try.

High prices and inflation? You told us for the last four years they didn't exist.

"Musk cuts based more on political ideology than real cost savings

(Reuters) - The first phase of the rapid-fire effort by Tesla CEO Elon Musk and President Donald Trump to cut waste from government agencies appears driven more by an ideological assault on federal agencies long hated by conservatives than a good-faith effort to save taxpayer dollars, according to two veteran Republican budget experts."

And they can't even do the politics well; farmers and other Trump voters are cursing MAGA now.

Fishpud, the orange pedo promised prices would be lowered on day one. What happened?

So, Trump says we can have cheap eggs once Biden gets his act together?

#9 | Posted by Zed at 2025-02-12 12:54 PM

US inflation increased by more than expected last month, as higher egg and energy prices helped to push up the cost of living for Americans.

Inflation rose to 3% in January, its highest rate for six months, and above the 2.9% expected by economists."

-High prices and inflation? You told us for the last four years they didn't exist.

Oh, there was acknowledgement of it from time to time but the culprit were greedy corporations....not poorly managed government policy.

And you told us trump had to be re elected to fix it.

So which is it? Was it never a problem or did trump lie about fixing it?

Funny, all I heard from MAGAT scum like you all during 2024 was that high prices and were Biden's fault.

I tend to limit the president's impact on inflation. Because....well....it's very limited.

Some -------- here believe the president sneaks into their house and ----- their wife and then changes the temp on the thermostat before taking the change on the night stand.

I don't think the president has quite that much impact on my personal life.

I know I know........you're all so smart and believe I'm going to learn the hard way..........thanks for the advice.

I adjust to the conditions.

Most of you can barely understand where you are right now. What environment you're in. What you're in for.

You want others to think you do because you're all here predicting doom and gloom for yourselves and everyone else.

But you don't believe it deep down. None of you. Your posts would look a whole lot different if you believed it.

The truth is that you're probably right and the horrible things coming are indeed coming.

but you don't really believe it.

Every "I caint afford no aigs!" voter deserves all the pain they will get out of this lunatic administration. Unfortunately, the rest of us (who aren't billionaires) will have to suffer right along with those idiots.

#18 | Posted by anton at 2025-02-12 02:06 PM

Trump is just waiting until after he ends the Ukraine war in "24 hours" to bring prices down on "day one".

That's the "size doesn't matter" defense of the 2024 Trump voter.

#23 | Posted by anton at 2025-02-12 02:56 PM

It's actually a defense for a non-voter.

I've been of that opinion for many many years.

It's got nothing to do with Trump. Or why I voted against him

You are one of the classic Trump "critics" who subtly kisses his ample orange arse every chance you get. Your reputation precedes you.

-subtly kisses his ample orange arse every chance you get.

huh?

who are you, anyway?

What do you want? You have something to discuss?

If so, then get on with it but if it's going to be lies about what I support or who I support...then it's not going to go well.

And why do you care?

Are you legallysucksdick's cousin?

I already knew how long you'd been here when I asked who you were. It's pretty easy to see.

But I don't care.

Nobody talks to you here. You're never engaged in a discussion.

it's your life....but get something better to throw at me or move on.
