Just 38% Support Trump's Use of Troops to Police DC

Few Americans outside President Donald Trump's Republican Party support his deployment of National Guard troops to police the streets of Washington, D.C., according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll. The three-day poll, which concluded on Sunday, found that just 38% of Americans support using troops for law enforcement in the U.S. capital, with 46% opposed. The rest were unsure or declined to answer the question.

Major Strasser: Are you one of those people who cannot imagine the Germans in their beloved Paris?
Rick: It's not particularly my beloved Paris.
Heinz: Can you imagine us in London?
Rick: When you get there, ask me!
Major Strasser: How about New York?
Rick: Well there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn't advise you to try to invade.
--"Casablanca", with Rick parrying with the Germans

The same can be said of Southeast DC, and I'll wager the visiting guardsmen have been warned to not go there, so none have...

$1 million a day to pick up trash is a fantastic use of the National Guard and taxpayer dollars.

Taxpayer dollars which billionaires like Trump no longer pay into. Not that he ever did.

"Not paying taxes makes me smart! Now where's my military parade!!! Pick up the trash you losers and suckers!"

"Swoon!"

I've stopped being surprised that MAGA will go along with anything so long as they think it's making other people as miserable as they are.

That's basically the only metric they're using these days when deciding whether to support something or not.

There is a great video floating around of some ICEHOLES walking up to a porch somewhere in DC and asking for ID. Some local men were drinking and smoking on a porch stoop and those men knew they weren't doing anything wrong and weren't about to provide any ID. The ICEHOLES got real nice all of a sudden. It's gonna make a great comedy skit someday.

That tracks with the numbers I posted YEARS ago on how many US Americans either strongly desire or would like a fascist government. It came in right at 40%.

" many US Americans either strongly desire or would like a fascist government. "

As long as it's their fascist.
