I'm open to the idea, I'm just skeptical.

Honestly, since we can't prove heaven or ---- exists or what even happens, I don't think about it much. It is what is is.

But I'm more apt to believe the "like attracts like", rather than some binary outcome like heaven/----. Phenomena in nature are rarely so well defined.

When you die you don't go "up" or "down" as many low info humans would like to believe. Don't ask me why they want to believe that. It reminds me of why humans wanted to believe the earth was at the center of the solar system and the entire universe revolved around it.

Think about it. (thought experiment!).

What would happen if when you die you don't go out of your body either up or down ... but you go "in"?

If you keep going "in" you will eventually "fall" into the Nothing. Where we all came from. Nothing neither is nor is not.

Also if you think you know of the Nothing then you do not. If you understand that you do not know then you do.

Remember tho.. Words are inadequate to describe the Nothing and what happens there and how we came from it and how we will return to it. But that never stopped mankind from trying. We usually call them philosophers religious leaders or poets.

A lot of Christians in the Western church don't get that Jesus became the Sabbath and the Tabernacle (home) of God... and that now ALL the land is holy, not just Israel.

The initiation rites amid many cultures is a form of being "saved".

You are "saved" in these cultures by becoming a man (or a woman) and putting away childish things.

I am not Islamic either but I personally love Sufi stories that tell of the love of God with their short stories.

Here is the main flaw with Eternal Life as I see it.

If A God created the universe then He/She also created Time.

If God created the universe and time then He/She would necessarily have to be from outside of the universe and time.

Therefore if you were to be with god outside the universe and outside of time then there is no eternity. There would also be no Now. Which is what we currently live in.

The meaning of Life is Life. To have Life there has to be death. Thats the rule. The universe is full of them.

And Life and Death do not have to have any meaning. They only have the meanings that we humans give to it with our feeble consciousness.

That's the OT... the NT says not to judge other people, and if you do, you will also be judged with the same judgement you use.

Absolutely backasswards; he fulfilled the Law, which was there to prove than no human could abide by all 300+ of them.
