I'm an Anglican Priest in the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island (my pronouns are he/him/his) and I get to serve in the Parish of St Margaret of Scotland, in the beautiful city of Halifax, NS, that sits on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people.

That's what the Real Jesus said.

But I'm pretty sure that fealty to the Mean Jesus hasn't much to do with it.

Rom 10:9-13 makes it clear and simple.

9 If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame."[e] 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile"the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."[f]

Works or Faith?

Works are clearly more important.

Faith is just hot air.

By their actions are people judged.

Speech IS action .

Charlie Kirk is in hell if anyone is.

He cultivated Hatred.

He Apologized for Murder.

If he had lived...

What Evil would he have Wrought?

I believe that people will be surprised by what "heaven and hell" (death) turns out to be.

I have been to the Nothing.

And Nothing Matters.

A lot.

I seems to create real Fortitude.

Why?

You keep saying that, and I keep wondering what it means... and if personal experience is universal.

#11 | Posted by Corky at 2025-09-17 11:39 AM | Reply

Re 11

The experience of the quantum field is not universal. The experience of the Nothing will be universal.

In quantum field theory, a vacuum is not considered empty but is described as a "sea" of fluctuating quantum fields. (Quantum Foam makes you Roam) From this "nothingness," virtual particles can pop into and out of existence.

Some scientists, like Lawrence Krauss, have argued that this scientific observation provides a mechanism for a universe to come from a kind of "nothing".

How to describe something that is nothing? Many Eastern philosophical traditions see the relationship between something and nothing as a core principle of reality.

In Taoism, the concept of the Tao is understood as a nameless, permanent nothingness from which everything arises. The Tao is not separate from the world but is the ultimate source and ground of all existence.

In Buddhism everything exists only in relation to other things. In this view, "everything" is made possible through its relationship to "nothing".

And yes I have personal experience that strengthens my understanding of the Nothing. But there are no words for something that is nothing.

But this "Nothing" that I did "experience " definitely matters.

A lot.

But no worries. We have all "experienced" it (You remember Nothing about Nothing! Of course! ) and we will all get to "experience " it again.

It's easy for me to believe there is no afterlife, and we just die.

I'm open to the idea, I'm just skeptical.

Honestly, since we can't prove heaven or hell exists or what even happens, I don't think about it much. It is what is is.

But I'm more apt to believe the "like attracts like", rather than some binary outcome like heaven/hell. Phenomena in nature are rarely so well defined.

#13 | Posted by horstngraben at 2025-09-17 01:07 PM | Reply

When you die you don't go "up" or "down" as many low info humans would like to believe. Don't ask me why they want to believe that. It reminds me of why humans wanted to believe the earth was at the center of the solar system and the entire universe revolved around it.

Think about it. (thought experiment!).

What would happen if when you die you don't go out of your body either up or down ... but you go "in"?

If you keep going "in" you will eventually "fall" into the Nothing. Where we all came from. Nothing neither is nor is not.

Also if you think you know of the Nothing then you do not. If you understand that you do not know then you do.

Remember tho.. Words are inadequate to describe the Nothing and what happens there and how we came from it and how we will return to it. But that never stopped mankind from trying. We usually call them philosophers religious leaders or poets.

See Corky? You found heaven in an enchilada!

Heaven is all around us. Jesus did say that the kingdom of God is already here.

From the gospel of Luke:

Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, 21 nor will people say, Here it is,' or There it is,' because the kingdom of God is in your midst."

From the gospel of Thomas:

His disciples said to him: On what day will the kingdom come? : It cometh not with observation. They will not say: Lo, here! or: Lo, there! But the kingdom of the Father is spread out upon the earth, and men do not see it.

A lot of Christians in the Western church don't get that Jesus became the Sabbath and the Tabernacle (home) of God... and that now ALL the land is holy, not just Israel.

The "soul going to Heaven' was being taught in first century Palestine... but by Platonists, not Christians.

Christians taught the "new creation'; God returning to unite heaven and earth into one new earth.

('rapture' was the Greek word that was used a few hundred years earlier to describe the people of a town coming out to greet Alexander the Great and escort him and his army back to town... so he didn't think they would resist.)

Charlie Kirk is not in heaven

Because heaven does not exist

Charlie Kirk, like all of us, returned to the black void.

He no longer exists

Heaven is the construct of the wicked to scare stupid children.

Charlie Kirk lived a hate-filled life and leaves the world measurably worse for his existence

He took the opportunity he had and spent his gifts hurting others.

I wish there was a hell for him to burn in

But there isn't, so the next best thing is to point out the vile consequences of his actions and to piss on his grave

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Revelation 6:9-11
New International Version

9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, "How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?" 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters,[a] were killed just as they had been.

And you know why they weren't Raptured? Because the Rapture comes after the Tribulation, bitch. Suck it up and suffer with everyone else, you sinner.

Speaking of AI...

AI Overview

N.T. Wright does not adhere to a standard pre-tribulation or post-tribulation rapture view; instead, he interprets Matthew 24 as referring to the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD rather than a future, universal cosmic event.

He believes that the "second coming" of Christ is not a singular event but a gradual revelation of God's presence that began with the resurrection and ascension. Therefore, for Wright, the concept of a "rapture" before or after a tribulation period is not a central focus of his eschatology."

Oxford's NT Wright being probably the leading NT scholar in the world today.

Much of what Jesus said, including, "this generation shall not pass until..." refers to the destruction of the 2nd Temple in 70 AD.

BUT not to worry! The Building Permit for the New Temple, the first in 2000 years is sitting in the Planning Dept in Jerusalem as we speak. Also the Priest are readying all the Temple ornaments and tools to sacrifice the Pure Red Heifers being shipped in from Texas.... true story.

;;

Also, the End Times begin with the Antichrist going into the new Temple and declaring himself to be God.... after he's added 7 more countries to his current Abraham Accords, which will, of course be called the Trump Accords.

Here ya go, HR, catch up:
