UPDATE -- CHARGES DROPPED against Larry Bushart, a liberal ex-cop who was in jail for 30+ days for a Trump meme post in a Charlie Kirk vigil group (Gotta think the @philinvestigates.com piece helped)

So.. Why couldn't he stop a tyrannical government from overreaching and trampling on his civil rights with his guns?

Wasn't the whole "right to bear arms" seen as a necessary way to keep tyranny in check and defend against government oppression?

Fact is, there is always going to be a hypothetical Perry County High School shooting.

That's what the Second Amendment is for.

Anyway, if you say something that the cops say might "cause fear" in the community, Republicans think it's okay to send you to prison for that. More from the article:

Again, we noted, "So it's clear that he's not talking about Perry County High School."

I hope Bushart sues the sheriff and the county he works for and wins a LOT of money! Just as the charges are meant to intimidate people and frighten them into compliance with a corrupt government, a big win would send the opposite signal: STAND UP for your rights and you will be richly rewarded!

I don't know how big this city is but in Kansas, virtually all cities have management liability coverage which defends and pays of behalf of the city for lawsuits of this nature. Probably not more than a $1 million limit, however.
