A week ago when he knew he was going to have to capitulate and Taco Again on releasing the Epstein Files, he started a 'New DOJ Investigation' of some people in the Files so that he could Not Release parts he doesn't want out there.

Unfortunately for him, that Prohibition in the Bill is Temporary, and the Bill makes it Illegal NOT to release the files.

Well, since every one of those 34 "felonies" was a misdemeanor and had never been used against anyone in the nation, I doubted he would go to prison.

Donald Trump was convicted in New York of 34 counts of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, a violation of New York Penal Law 175.10.
Falsifying business records is generally a misdemeanor in New York; however, it is elevated to a Class E felony (the lowest level felony) when the intent to defraud includes an "intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof".
In this case, the prosecution successfully argued that the business records were falsified to conceal an illegal scheme to violate New York State election law and federal campaign finance laws in order to influence the 2016 presidential election.

Because the guy you voted for bungled everything, apparently because he committed the same crime(s) and wasn't charged.

But a couple of clowns around here will tell you that if you give back the classified documents, the law allows you a free pass.

None of that matters though. Trump was elected President and will remain president until he isn't or his term is over - and that's the rub.

Now everyone, Republicans included, get to see the downside of having a Republican President announce publicly that he will be seeking revenge on his political opposition and has an AG ready and willing to use her office to carry out vendettas against Democrats. She has no credibility now! Everyone believes this is just another political witch hunt like many she has already openly conducted. Up until now Rep. McCormick has been scandal free so I'll hold judgement until the evidence is presented by this very partisan woman appointed by Trump with a very clear agenda of attacking Democrats. I'm not a gambler but in this situation betting on Bondi would be stupid!
