Mary Trump believes New York Attorney General Letitia James' latest statement about Donald Trump will not sit well with the former president at all. On Tuesday, James said she would request to seize Donald Trump's assets if he doesn't pay the $355 million fine stemming from his civil fraud trial over his business practices in New York.

40 Wall St is Dementia Don's prize jewel. The building he phoned into the tv about now being the tallest in NYC as people were dying on 9/11.

Seizing it will be disaster for dementia don.

She should proceed as she would with any guilty party who refuses to provide payment of proper Court imposed Fines.

Looks like she is doing that.

Thank you for your professionalism Madam AG.

Wow Nixon, I've never heard that he had done such an appalling thing. Maybe he'll take the elevator to the top floor and jump. Naa-he's a coward-never happen.

Before March 10, he will declare bankruptcy, or some other such nonsense.

"Wow Nixon, I've never heard that he had done such an appalling thing."

I am an optimist but I have stopped saying that things can't get any worse with Trumpy and his maga maroons.

Just when you think things could not possibly get any more appalling with Trumpy he ups the ante on being a deplorable person.

Once Trump gets re-elected he'll pardon himself so she better find another claim to fame before he drives a golf ball up her fat ax.

Did someone leave the cell door open on the Nooner?

#7 | Posted by YAV at 2024-02-25 07:59 AM | Reply

Yo.
Phester.
Trump can't pardon himself for state crimes and convictions.
Not to mention this judgement was civil.
There is no pardon he can grant himself.
There is no avoidance of what he has to pay, other than through the judicial appeal process.

Now that you're out of Nooner solitary confinement perhaps you may learn a few basic facts and leave those festering fantastical notions of Trump as your hero behind? Whaddya say? Give sunshine, truth, and reality a shot?

Hi yav, how ya been? My estate planner said there is no call back with political contributions so instead of the state confiscating my iras etc, I might use it to help my fellow man.

The AG should call what he owes an education loan, then it can't be discharged in bankrupcy.

Using the power of the federal government used to (supposedly) be viewed as a bad thing by "c-c-conservatives."

Now it's a central plank in their otherwise policy feee platform.

And yet, they still whine when they're rightfully called fascist piles of s^%#.

New York City and state will inevitably be sued for billions for illegal actions against business and investors in NY such as where DAs and AGs run their election campaign against citizens and use politics for justice. But justice doesnt work that way nor should it. Those in govt who would corrupt the system need to pay very very heavily.

@#17 ... New York City and state will inevitably be sued for billions for illegal actions against business and investors in NY such as where DAs and AGs run their election campaign against citizens and use politics for justice. ...

If that is correct, why hasn't it happened previously?

Seriously.

Why is this suddenly an issue in your mind?

Because Trump is fnkced. And just like Alina Habba said, Trump and Trumpers' only recourse is to "go after the DAs and AGs," which apparently is in the form of lawsuits moving forward.

That and business folks like the Shark Tank guy pulling their business out of New York, or the "comedian" on Fox's The Five promising to move from NY to Florida.

It's all they got and they're desperate. Trump's personal recourse would be personal bankruptcy, which is even worse for the Trumpers since they view him as an infallible god.

"The greatest businessman and POTUS to ever grace the face of the Earth is a fraud?! NO, NO, NO! It just can't be!!!"

11.phester. Wishing you all the best. As you likely already know neurologic PT can produce very therapeutic results with hard work and perseverance. Not easy.

Even I recognize everything in NYC and the state is political and corrupt, just like Illinois and California. I would not bother even visiting the city and the newfound trash. Those who understand the importance of fairness and justice when it comes to risking investments and capital want no part of corrupt government and silly governors like Hochul and AGs who emulate Harris and Biden and those who get elected to lie.

Do you contend that Trump actually did not violate the laws at issue in this case? Please link to the statutes and state why you believe his acts do not fall within the proscribed conduct.

Thanks in advance for what i'm sure will be a well thought out and nuanced post!
