This dweeb will join any club that will take him in. He probably thinks that his support for these phony christian thugs who lust for political power will gain him points in Heaven, when the opposite will be true, thanks to those misusing the Lord's name, and acting in a manner antithetical to Jesus' teachings...

I was just about to make the following link a thread, but this may be a better venue.

"The Cult of the Strong Delusion

The MSM is finally waking up to the fact that Joe Biden is struggling in many ways. Yet, the conservative media remains SILENT on Donald Trump. They dare NOT criticize him in any way.

Why is that?"

Not Josh Hawley, he openly acknowledges that he is a Nazi? Who could have guessed? He hid it so well! The GQP is full of those traitors!

Josh Hawley exudes the affect of a very weak person.

But, man, that boy sure can run!

He can believe anything he wants, he can belong to any groups he chooses. But when he goes ahead to try to codify, to put that into our system of laws, he is being a traitor to the Constitution.

The dude cited "In God We Trust" as proof the founding fathers were creating a Christian nation.

How stupid are Republicans? The phrase didn't come out until the 1950's.

"The first is the idea that the United States is a "Christian nation." This is, to be sure, a popular idea within the GOP's theocratic wing, but it's also offensive, ahistorical nonsense.

The United States is based on a secular Constitution, which in turn created a secular government.

Thomas Jefferson wrote in 1802 that our First Amendment built "a wall of separation between church and state."

In 1797, John Adams agreed:

"The government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion."

Americans unsure what to believe have a straightforward choice:

They can listen to Hawley, or they can read the Constitution and honor the declarations of actual Founding Fathers.

This doesn't seem like an especially tough call."

.

What it really is is a sort of absurdly lazy sort of Christianity where it's too much trouble and requires too much effort, and Faith, to rely on the Gospel drawing people to the Church...

... it's much easier to make laws that compel people to see things your way.

Christian in name only.

There are zero Christ-like principles in the tenets of christian nationalism.

American Evangelical Christianity is a ruse, a con; it only exists now to acquire as much money, property, and political power as possible. Any semblance to actual Christianity is incidental.

Eat a dick, Senator.

What a phony. I don't think he believes in anything.
