Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, August 10, 2024

The campaign of Republican U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Saturday some of its internal communications were hacked and blamed the Iranian government, citing past hostilities between Trump and Iran without providing direct evidence. The campaign statement came after news website Politico said it began receiving emails from an anonymous account with documents from inside Trump's operation. "These documents were obtained illegally from foreign sources hostile to the United States, intended to interfere with the 2024 election and sow chaos throughout our Democratic process," Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung said in a statement.

I seem to remember him being particularly unsympathetic when the DNC got hacked.

When the password is "password" you should expect bad things to happen.

If we all listen very, very carefully, we can hear the world's tiniest violin playing a somber dirge over this awful news.

I seem to recall that Dick Cheney used this same trick with the fake "yellow cake" receipt.

If Trump is looking for an excuse to dump Vance as his V.P., this might do the job.

Trump encouraged Russia to hack the DNC in 2016. No one in the DNC would ask Iran to hack anyone in the United States Trump. Poor Tchump. Karma bites!

"Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing, I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press," Trump said in a July 27, 2016 news conference.

Ya know... that's also when he started talking about the magical power of bleach

Oh and one more thing... from wiki... for those living in a righthand bubble

Iran and Russia are strategic allies and form an axis in the Caucasus alongside Armenia. Iran and Russia are also military allies in the conflicts in Syria and Iraq and partners in Afghanistan and post-Soviet Central Asia.

Trumpanzee brought this on himself.

A spokesperson for the National Security Council said the Biden administration "strongly condemns any foreign government or entity who attempts to interfere in our electoral process or seeks to undermine confidence in our democratic institutions."
What?!?!? The Biden Administration (which STILL includes VP Harris) isn't praising Iranileaks and bellowing that they love them like Trump did in 2016?

Can't even secure your own internal email, eh Trump campaign? See what'll happen if Trump gets elected is that we'll probably find top secret files squirreled away at various Trump properties, treated like souvenirs brought out to entertain visitors - and likely spies - who come to see him.

Wait .... What?..... Oh....

That ship already sailed, nevermind.

Who knew attempting triangulation between strategic allies could be so complicated?

Someone ought to look into that.

P.S. This is why putting "A Businessman" in charge of our politics is such a bad idea.

Has Trump hoped that Iran is listening and that they are able to find all the missing classified documents that Ye and Nick Fuentes stole out of the Mar A Lardo -------?

... Donald Trump's presidential campaign has confirmed some of its internal communication have fallen into the hands of hackers, the Washington publication Politico reported Saturday.

The publication said its editorial staff had been sent apparently hacked Trump campaign communications from a source known as only as "Robert" and that campaign officials have confirmed their authenticity.

The Trump campaign blamed the hack on "foreign sources hostile to the United States," Politico reported.

In so doing, they cited a warning issued by Microsoft on Friday in which the tech giant said a hacker group run by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps known as Mint Sandstorm had sent a "spear-phishing" email to a "high-ranking official of a presidential campaign from a compromised email account of a former senior advisor." ,,,

The publication said it began receiving emails from an anonymous account on July 22, and that in recent weeks the sender, identified only as "Robert," included what appeared to be a background dossier compiled earlier this year on Trump's eventual choice for vice presidential running mate, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio.

Two people familiar with the process confirmed the documents' authenticity, Politico reported. ...

Big deal. Here's what the hackers got:
-Ziggy cartoons for the past 30 days
-A list of many people all of whom said Trump is great
-JDs favorite eyeliner
-Melanias whereabouts and Barrons letter of acceptance to Palm Beach County community college

I no more believe that Trump's campaign was hacked than I believe that the man's recent "assassination attempt" was real.

Trump wakes up in the morning and his first thought is how to manipulate people. Lies are cheap and easy, and straightforward magician tricks almost as much so,

Another manufactured victimhood news plant for the maga base. How many time we gonna hear this guy shriek Wolf? It's so predictable now it's a joke. Always perfectly timed to grab the news cycle they are losing and not controlling. The media always willingly falls for the con never verifying and calling out the obvious lies. It's 2016 all over again.

The media needs to ask Trump if any of the top secret Iranian nuclear intel and US military secrets that he stole were on that hacked server.
