Late on Friday night, former President Donald Trump hammered out a 181-word post on his Truth Social platform in his signature all-caps style, targeted at "DEPRESSED AND UNHAPPY" women who are "THINKING ABOUT ABORTION."

... targeted at "DEPRESSED AND UNHAPPY" women who are "THINKING ABOUT ABORTION." ...

Why might women be unhappy and depressed?

Possibly because fmr Pres Trump is against abortion, while over 60% are in favor of legal abortion.

Euphoric two years ago, US anti-abortion movement is now divided and worried as election nears
apnews.com

... Just two years ago, leading anti-abortion activists were euphoric as the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, thus ending the nationwide right to abortion.

Now, with a presidential election fast approaching, their movement is disunited and worried. Within their own ranks, there is second-guessing and finger-pointing, plus trepidation that Election Day might provide new proof that their cause is broadly unpopular.

Michael New, an abortion opponent who teaches social research at The Catholic University of America, offered an overview of how the movement had fared since the Roe ruling in June 2022.

"Things have not necessarily unfolded as we would hope," he wrote in an email to The Associated Press. "There is certainly a sense among pro-life leaders that we should have had a stronger post-Roe game plan in place."

"I always remind fellow pro-lifers that we were never promised a smooth glide path to victory," he added. "There will certainly be setbacks and disappointments along the way."

A key reason for the wariness is the anti-abortion movement's recent losing streak on abortion-related ballot measures in seven states, including conservative Kansas and Kentucky.

Nine more states will consider constitutional amendments enshrining abortion rights in the Nov. 5 election -- Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada and South Dakota.

In several of them, abortion opponents tried various unsuccessful strategies for blocking the measures. ...

"Dotard's All Caps Rant Targets Women"

DonOLD doesn't realize this rant confirms yet again just how stupid he thinks women are.

@#5 ... DonOLD doesn't realize this rant confirms yet again just how stupid he thinks women are. ...

Yup.

And a recent comment by Gov Sarah Huckabee Sanders about VP Harris is also interesting.

www.5newsonline.com

... On Sept. 17, Sanders moderated a town hall for Trump. While speaking, the governor said "my kids keep me humble. Unfortunately, Kamala Harris doesn't have anything keeping her humble." ...

There's an implication in that statement, an implication I see often in the GOP, that women need to be humble.

The forced birth people----

1) Never opted for the long and hard slog of "hearts and minds". They went straight for coercion.

2) Their movement really does seem that it hates women and is willing to see them die in nasty ways

3) Their movement aligns too neatly with the overall fascist subversion in this country.

Bottom line----They deserve to fail, and but for their arrogance and desire for power would have anticipated how they would fail.

'Tis simple, my friend Lamplighter. And it is specifically directed at women of color

The clear implication is:

"Kamala Harris is an uppity n***** who doesn't know her place."

Nothing more, nothing less.

Trump's sources for "what women want" are people like Margarine Trailer Grease, Lorna Loser, and Lauren Boobert.

Depressed and unhappy women? Is he addressing that to Melania.

They're depressed and anxious because they could die from a pregnancy they can't terminate.

What a supremely unaware person Trump is.

Conservatives on Abortion

Conservatives: "We're banning abortion everywhere so you'd better be ready to have that baby!"

Conservatives: "We're also stopping contraception, so you'd better be married if you have sex!"

Conservatives: "Aaaand we're doing away with no-fault divorce and gun restrictions on domestic abusers so you'll have to have the baby and stay married!

Also Conservatives: "Women hate us! We need to increase our messaging!"

""Women hate us! We need to increase our messaging!"

Which reminds me of "The abuse will continue until morale improves."

#8 Hans It's aimed at all women who don't kotow to Republican's perception of women, that they're supposed to do what ever a man tells them, not work, be baby breeders, not go to school. They believe that women are inferior to men and that women should accept that Republican idea of reality. They hate strong, intelligent women. You think they like Hillary Clinton? Guess again! The thing is while they hate all women, they hate women of color more than they hate white women! They want to be able to treat us like the dirt they think we are. That's why they voted against the Violence against Women Act, against IVF bill, the law to ban wife beaters from buying and having guns and want to get rid of no-fault divorce even in cases of the husband beating the wife. They say it's better for the children, what they mean is boys learn that women don't deserve respect and should be beaten and teaches the girls that women should accept that they will be beaten and should not fight back!

As has been said here often, Dotard is a racist, misogynistic, antisemitic, homophobic pig. His world is populated with white, straight, yes-men and the odd self-loathing black man who believe as he does. Women in his world are only for sex, or sexual thoughts (Vanky). In his poison little heart white people are better and smarter than the other races, so they should have all the power. One curiosity, and I don't have the time or self-loathing to watch his Klan rallies, but I haven't heard any highlights of him calling VPOTUS stupid lately. It was a common attack line before the debate, but since she curb stomped him he seems to understand that calling someone stupid who is clearly smarter than him was not a good look.

What a deranged, demented, delusional old fool.
I hope he keeps ranting in all caps and in his rallies.
He just said pretty much all of that ALL CAPS rant in his last rally.

I dint blame him for using that series of descriptors.

All the women who get within aromatic range of the fetid fascist end up depressed and unhappy.

Worth repeating in bold...

The forced birth people----

1) Never opted for the long and hard slog of "hearts and minds". They went straight for coercion.

2) Their movement really does seem that it hates women and is willing to see them die in nasty ways

3) Their movement aligns too neatly with the overall fascist subversion in this country.

My one (minor) disagreement is in this...

... 1) Never opted for the long and hard slog of "hearts and minds". They went straight for coercion. ...

The Republicans did not go for coercion.

Coercion implies a conversation.

There was no such conversation.

The Republicans purchased a SCOTUS that unilaterally dictated to women that the government is removing their freedom of choice over their own bodies.
