There's no reason for any family with a woman or girl who is pregnant or might be pregnant to come to Texas, or to stay here.

I am a native Texan and, strangely, love Texas. But there are much, much better places to build a life at the moment. If you have the means, go there.

Who are all these people moving there? Shakers? Incels? Young people with no intention of having children?

Good luck finding someone to staff your grocery stores and nursing homes in 15 years.

Pass all the laws you want. You have to have OB's there to take care of people.

"Anti-abortion leaders know that abortion bans kill women. They don't care. Or worse, many view dying from pregnancy as a good thing. In some cases, it's viewed as just punishment for "sinful" behavior. Other times, it's romanticized as a noble sacrifice on the altar of maternal duty ... . Abortion bans make crystal clear that, to the Christian right, no woman's life is worth saving. Anyone can be sacrificed, to protect their cruel patriarchal order. "

More and more the Red States become like third world countries. Especially outside of the major cities. If you have any sense of proportion, it is absolutely mind boggling that now now HALF of all Texas counties are not able to provide pre-natal care. If you are a person with the intelligence above an onion, this should be beyond shocking. Think South Sudan, or rural Bolivia.
