Trump Expected to Grant Clemency to over 1,000 J6 Er's

According to Bloomberg, there is a high expectation that Trump will grant clemency to over 1,000 people who have been convicted. During his Time Magazine interview last year, the president-elect, when he was asked about the pardon, said "I'm going to do case-by-case, and if they were non-violent, I think they've been greatly punished."

Yeah, he has indicated he will pardon ~some~ on the J6 rioters, indicating that some of them may have gotten out of control.

Actually this is one of those things that shows you are not very principled. He commuted the sentences of some to Life and more pointedly he did not commute ALL death penalty inmates in Federal prison to life. It is worth noting one only has one life and if for no other reason than seeing how flawed our punishment system is, it is better to side of caution in most cases. Some things that get the death penalty simply make me shake my head. Personally, I believe in the sanctity of life. Anyone claiming to be a Christian SHOULD be 100% against the death penalty. There are cases I feel it is truly warranted when there is no doubt as to who committed the crime. Acts of terrorism leading to many deaths for example. McVeigh was a prime example.
