Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, January 20, 2025

President Joe Biden on Monday issued pardons for Dr. Anthony Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley, members of Congress who investigated the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and others who he said are under threat of being "baselessly" targeted for political purposes. The spate of preemptive pardons came hours before President-elect Donald Trump -- who has called for some of his political foes to be jailed -- takes office.

There should be no doubt now that the young socialists/communists were the ones pulling the strings of Biden. Hence, they have tried to pardon themselves after they relentlessly tried to persecute Trump.

Those people are the real enemies of this nation.

Biden: You're not going to see me do that.

Democrats definitely shot themselves in the feet with statements like that, as well as huffing over anything that was "unprecedented". That said, no rational person could really blame him under the current circumstances of someone who previously abused his power threatening retribution as soon as he gets back into office.

We live in interesting times.

If they didn't break the Law ... They shouldn't accept a pardon but they will for the following reasons.

1. Fauci - Perjury while in Senate Testimony
2. Cheney - Witness tampering
3. Milley - Treason (contacting the Chinese while Trump was still in office)

Only goes to show they too are the lowest of the low.

Corrupt acts are corrupt acts. Unlike you, I don't do situational ethics. Just like Laura Mohr and Corky (Zed is approaching insanity so I'll give him a pass - he just needs to see a therapist) you are all giddily cheering this on and will cry like little girls if Trump follows suit. It's disgusting.

1Nut looks at Trump, our most corrupt Pres ever, and sees his Lord and Master.

So then naturally he has to blame the other Pres for also being corrupt. He's as see thru as glass.

Biden even pardoned his family 15min before inaguration.

I imagine that pissed the Orange Toddler completely off.

Let's see him rage, again; let's see him threaten, again.

Not too early for him to get into the swing of things.

These pardons have no justification.

Yes, they do. Trump cannot control himself.

"Former Rep. Liz Cheney and Rep. Bennie Thompson, who were both on the House committee investigating the attack on Jan. 6, release a statement following pardons from Joe Biden in the last hours of his presidency.

"We have been pardoned not for breaking the law but for upholding it," the statement says."

BTW The Garland ruling makes clear that the presidential pardon power is unlimited and only the president can limit its power. Just saying.

#107 | Posted by LauraMohr at 2025-01-20 01:21 PM | Reply

If it think about it, Biden is sending a grim message with these pardons. He's basically folding and acknowledging that this is basically what the American people wanted when they reelected Trump. It's actually kind of Daoist in nature. Is this what you really want, America? Okay, then, let's find out.

Dr. Fauci on his pardon:

"Let me be perfectly clear: I have committed no crime and there are no possible grounds for any allegation or threat of criminal investigation or prosecution of me. The fact is, however, that the mere articulation of these baseless threats, and the potential that they will be acted upon, create immeasurable and intolerable distress for me and my family. For these reasons, I acknowledge and appreciate the action that President Biden has taken today on my behalf."

The fact is, republicans are domestic terrorists.

Biden pardoning his siblings absolutely dements he was selling influence at an America's expense to enrich himself and his family.

What an absolutely corrupt POS. Democrats are praying right now that this gets overshadowed by the inauguration (I love the irony) and that the MSM ignores this as it makes the entire party look bad. There are a LOT of pissed off Democrats in Congress over this.

#125 - selling influence

Incredible. After years of supporting a criminal rapist traitor who has the White House currently up For Sale to the highest bidder... after selling $200 million plus worth of influence to Musk alone... this poster whines about what some other Pres did?

Your credibility died a cruel death years ago, and here you are still pretending it exists.

This is disturbing from the standpoint that Biden is admitting the DOJ is corrupt. On the other hand it allows Trump to act in a completely unrestrained manner because the precedent has been set to pardon everyone in a corrupt administration. For the rest of us having to live under a corrupt DOJ without the means to get a pardon, well it sucks.
